Good morning!
AMPS 63 shooting .1u

Boomer needed to have a num-num crumpled on his +3, he totally ignored his +6, and he woke me up just before +9....I waited until I heard the auto feeder turn and he made no move to go to the kitchen so I got up and had to sprinkle num-num on it.

Speaking of treats---I did hear back from Purebites yesterday but they gave me the guaranteed analysis instead of the dry matter or as-fed numbers that I had asked for. So I responded again asking for dry matter or as-fed. Haven't heard back. And I still haven't called Purina...it's on the to-do list.

That's a great start this morning Booms! I think the other day he was just being a cat. Sorry about the overnight meals not getting much better. Is he sleeping with you where it's nice and warm?

I still think it was the salmon although not sure whether it was the food or the treats. My carb-sensitive little boy :D
Yes he's sleeping with me for part of the night; sometimes up where I can put my arm around him and sometimes closer to my feet!

HMMM this is interesting... my BF always says the pure bites makes Dre go up in BG and I always have to be Dre's attorney LOL
He does get it quite a bit chicken and wild side salmon vita mixed together..... I make it part of his meals-and snacks.
Wondering if the BF was right? (not that I would tell him:smuggrin:)
The chicken seems to be fine, at least it doesn't seem to affect Boomer's levels. But something sure did the other day!

Surf safely Boomer!... Hope you had a great day Judy... sucks that so many carbs are hidden and we can't just know the numbers... would make that part a little easier at least :bighug::bighug::bighug:

I always thought PureBites chicken treats were virtually carb free. Perhaps try another brand of freeze-dried chicken treats if you think they are raising Boomer's bgs? Rusty likes both Cat-man-doo and Whole Life.
Sorry that the night-time fuds are not being consumed as desired. :cat::cat::cat:
Maybe better luck tonight.

Hugs, scritches,

omg k rereading your condo... kinda upset with lincolns numbers today... guess what breakfast was wc salmon.... a little less unhappy with his numbers looks like i failed him again not him not working dose

But I calculated the % from calories to be 5.71. So not that bad! Of course I could have made an error in the calculation. Or WC has given me the wrong info. Going over to check my calc out now.

@Ella & Rusty & Stu(GA) @Lincolns Mom I checked my calculations. WC gave me both as fed and dry matter numbers so I calculated both. Using the as fed, the salmon is 5.70% of calories. Using the Dry Matter numbers, 5.71% of calories.
So it is still considered as low carb. But for Boomer.....he is very carb sensitive so the other foods he's getting are all around 2% to 3.5%. He gets Natures Variety chicken occasionally but I don't give it to him for a few meals in a row like I did with the salmon because Boomer isn't as fond of the NV chicken as he is of the salmon.

the morning i fed wc chicken is when he dropped low and saw green... and i dont think its your math... i am wondering about the info we are getting now...
WC chicken is 2.52% carbs from calories. So really low. Maybe Lincoln is as carb sensitive as Boomer. If it's any help, I am currently feeding WC chicken at 2.52%, WC turkey at 3.18%, and hounds & gatos chicken at 1.93%.
