Dears,
Im having serious trouble with Markies health and bgs. And probably my entire life. Markies is on Levemir but Im also using Humulin R to bring down BG quickly when he is having high numbers (this is something that I used to do time ago with another insulin that with another group we used to called Rapid, but I remember it wasnt´the same insulin). That insuline used to have a fast onset and nadir and used to wear off quickly, and it was to "correct" high numbers.
So, this why Im using it. But now Im wondering if this insulin is right to look for this goal. May be not and may be Im making Markies bounce a lot.
The thing is that Markies is having very high numbers.
The bad thing is that my spread sheet is not updated so I will do is now (really bad thind had been happening here, dad died recently, and mom is also whit cancer, so we are under lots of stress, depression, etc). Im hardly coping with all this.
I do have my hand written notes with Markies BGS numbers so if any of you wants to see them before Im able to finish the spread sheet (its been months since I don´t complete it, since dad started his disease probably since may 2016) I may complete only a a month from now, no more since I have many other things to do (clean my house, etc.).
Other things that can be related with Markies high BG is that his gingivitis is looking bad, then he has been meowing without sound (linke having something in his throat, may be swallen tonsils or something, I remember than when he was first diagnosed with diabetes he had swallen tonsils). On the other hands he had restrictive cardiomiopathy, I don´t know how he is regarding that but he had been coughing (not now, but yes a month ago).
Herpes virus is common in our house and on the other hand Im fostering a cat which brought stress, and I had to pay to a behavior specialist to help us a little. She didnt help much, she just medicated two of my cats. Im also medicated after my father died.
Ok this is the whole picture.
Not to confuse you, first and most important question, can you help me understand if using both, HUMULIN R AND LEVEMIR ARE COMPATIBLE AND OK?
Also to know what´s the HUMULIN R onset, Nadir and duration?
To be honest Im making a mess with dosing and need to start from scratch with protocol. I need your help please.
