This so Caesar’s spread sheet. I’m not sure whether I fall into the TR or go slow Regulation. I do every 12 hours, the pm shot is between 9-10 bc of work. He gave me 73 this am and I didn’t give him his shot I was scared. He ate a half can of FF and I retested at 10:30 and he gave me an 81. I still haven’t given a shot. Didn’t know if I should skip or give .25 reduction. Any suggestions what I should have maybe done or still should do.?
Thank you. Insulin Glargine 12/12, 2.5

If he is eating dry food, you would follow SLGS. You do not shoot below 90 with SLGS. You stall without feeding and test again in 20 mins to see if the numbers rise enough to shoot.

How long now since his shot was due? 30 mins? 81 was how long after food? That is still not over the shooting threshold for SLGS.

Have you stopped feeding the dry food? I’m trying to figure out what has changed and why he’s all of a sudden getting better numbers.

Anytime he goes under 90 he has earned a dose reduction by .25 units. He already missed one reduction last time he went green. And now he definitely has earned a reduction according to the SLGS rules.

Hi. I changed him To Young Again Lid Zero. He just doesn’t eat it as much. I thought he liked it when I was transitioning from dr elseys but he’s either eating it and getting full or not. I have to put the camera up. I have 3 other non sugars. He’s been fully transitioned for 2 weeks now. I only put a half cup out in the afternoon and at my bed time for all 4.

Is Caesar okay? GA means the cat has passed and crossed over the rainbow bridge. I hope you thought it meant something else.

I just posted a reply about his food change. I skipped the other day bc I didn’t know what to do. I tested an hour after he ate his F F today. I have not given his shot. I think it became too late now . Unless I should still do it. So SlGS I skip? I guess bc he is still eating dry I will do SLGS? I keep reading both protocols and they sound so similar to me. I guess I am falling in the SLGS protocol thank you so much !!!!

Hi Priscilla can you add SLGS to your signature since he is still eating some dry food a d add it to your SS. Please add the meter to your signature also
Your SS should be attached to your signature , do you see your post above mine ,it's not there look at your post #11 post # are to the right of each post:cat:

That's okay. You would not shoot if he was below 90 with SLGS. His new dose from tonight would be 2.25U. Congrats :)
Hi Bhooma. Here is his update SS. These are yesterday and last night an over night numbers. It was so scary for me. I was alerted that my sheet isn’t 2023 where it should be. I sat one day and transferred all of my numbers to the 2023 sheet and must not have saved it or I lost it. I didn’t even notice. I will get to that so as to not confuse anyone. I just need some time bc it will take time. ( me anyway )

so anyway…. Did he earn another reduction? Does a reduction get held a certain amount of days? I’m just not clear on the length of time to hold a reduction.
Last night was his lowest ever and I freaked. I tested every 20 to 30 minutes. Then I had to set my alarm and ended up having to call out of work. No sleep but the stress was a killer.
I am not sure what to do with these numbers. Thank you so much !!!!

Hi Diane. I added the protocol and the meter. I didn’t add the SS yet bc o need to fix it. When it was brought o my attention to put it on a 2022 sheet I did so but apparently I didn’t save it or whatever happen it’s not there. So 2022 is on the 2022 SS I just need some time to fix that. Thank you !!! I have a new post I just posted it.

I have added a 2023 tab to your spreadsheet and copied the 2023 data into it. It's the left-most tab titled 2023. Please use that going forward. Thanks :-)

Wow! He is on a roll. :D Yes, every drop below 90 is a reduction, so he did earn a reduction to 2U.
The normal range of numbers is 50-100 so he is okay as long as he doesn't drop below 50 on a human meter.

Hi. I just went to add his last number at 1:00am and I was so confused lol. Thank you so much I appreciate it more than you know. I would have been doing it one by one for hours and hours lol. But on the revised sheet we are now ahead a day. March 17th number are under March 18th. And we haven’t started March 18ths yet. But I bet you’ll have that fixed in a minute. I wish I was so computer savvy. I just wanted to let you know that.

his number at 1am was 60 the new all time low. He was picking at some YA Zero Lid just now so we’ll see. I’ll be up at 3:30 to test. I’m exhausted I should have been asleep. Well….I never had kids so I guess I’m getting a little taste of not getting sleep and worrying.
