Continued Dosing Advice/Sir Maximus

I think that, after this weekend we might want to talk about increasing his dose again. I think he’s making progress, but we may need to bump him up a little bit again. I honestly think that at some point he’s going to need a reduction after these increases— but he needs more opportunity to stay (and get used to) in lower numbers.

Now, Sir Maximus, did you hear that?
Sounds good ..Cmon Sir Maximus

A better cycle today, but I still think you can increase. If you are not working this weekend then you can do it then. I only suggested after the weekend when I thought you were working those long hours for three days.

Poor Sir Maximus is in another bounce. This is really hard on you to watch, I know. He's due to break the bounce on 3/14 if he holds true to form. It's really frustrating that he only dips into better numbers and then spends the rest of the time bouncing. You are not doing anything wrong. I wish I had more comforting words to share about the whole thing. I was actually hoping to get him into some green numbers with the increase.

ETA: He’s not in a traditional longer lasting bounce. I sent that message off too quickly. He is going blue at night and then high in the daytime. So let’s see what he does tonight. Hopefully blue again.

Okay ,ya thought he was going thru another bounce. Hopefully his body will adjust to the low numbers. Thank you

Let's see if he goes blue tonight on the 2 units. I think soon we will want to increase by another .25 units and see if we can get some green as long as you can do your usual excellent job of monitoring him. I would not recommend holding this 2 unit dose for a full 14 cycles unless you are going to be working long hours and not be around. He's actually spending a little bit more time in lower numbers, but yes, the hated high numbers are still there.

Well, he may not actually be in what we think of as a traditional "bounce" although the last few cycles his daytime numbers have been high -- if it is a bounce it is a mini bounce since the last two nights he has gone into blue. If he goes blue tonight again, that would be great.

Want to see what he does tonight and think about it in the morning. I wonder if he's going a bit lower (nothing too dramatic) after you go to sleep at night. I'm not saying to stay up all night or anything! If we look at his spreadsheet though, Shawn, it does seem like maybe some progress is being made with the blues at night on the new 2 unit dose. He may need a little more juice to see some green. Let's see. How is he acting? Happy? Normal? Eating well?

Ya he's been acting pretty normal. Appetite is good and is happy. I always wake up thru the night so try and get that +6 reading because that's roughly his nadir and gives me an idea of how low he dropped.

I see he dropped into blue again last night! This seems to be his new pattern.

I actually wish you had gone ahead and shot the full two units. But it’s okay. It looks like he was on the rise. Maybe the PZ will kick in before he starts to rise too much at +2.

Ya i thought about it but took the safe route since he isn't used to being low pre shot. You never know about him. He has a tendency to have big drops at times and didn't have enough info on him with this new dose. Gonna test him at +2 in 15 minutes.

Okay good. A nice steady drop so far. I am just really happy to see the blues today in the daytime cycle too and no pink of red numbers! I know you are too.
Hi Suzanne ya very happy and surprised. Caught me off guard this am. I just wonder if the full dose would of been to much. I was gonna shoot 1 but upped it to 1.5 which I'm glad i did. Going to have to figure out this eve what to shoot. Thanks so much

So anyway none of that is criticism. I think it was a good move to at least shoot the 1.5. 1 unit definitely would have been too little. And we have seen only a few blue preshots on him before so I completely understand your hesitation. I just feel like you can intervene with food if necessary. Also, he’s been so stubborn with his bounces lately that I feel like he needs a bit of a kick to get him into green. You do a great job taking care of him!

Thank you definitely didn't take it as criticism. I always trust and respect your valuable advice.
