Hi Maria! Karamela is still looking good for all the days off insulin but looks to be just a little higher this morning.
@Bandit's Mom - is .1u the same as a one drop dose?
She is still in the low blue's, that is not considered "unsafe" by any means! I'm sure everyone is going to tell you to wait another cycle at least to see what she does. Same food right? no changes of any kind?Actually she is not going so well!! She is rising all the time! Maybe is safer to go back to insulin?? I don’t know
Exactly no changes at all! She eats every 3hours. When she eats the BG falls but still in blueShe is still in the low blue's, that is not considered "unsafe" by any means! I would not start insulin just yet. Can you get a +3? Will that be 3 hours after food?Actually she is not going so well!! She is rising all the time! Maybe is safer to go back to insulin?? I don’t know![]()
No. A drop dose is less than 0.10U. We suggest a drop dose for cats who still see some low blues at 0.10U. That was not the case with Karamela.@Bandit's Mom - is .1u the same as a one drop dose?
I tested now at +4:30 120I would not start insulin just yet. Can you get a +3? Will that be 3 hours after food?
Did she get a snack at +9 last night?

If all green on 0.10U, then it's straight to the OTJ trial.
PM +9? Early this morning?Yes she had a snack yesterday at +9
Could be a food bump if she had food at +3. Let's see what she does for the rest of the day.I tested now at +4:30 120![]()
Yes pm and early this morning I set the automatic feeder every 3h! So the meals are steady! She dropped to 105 half hour before her snackPM +9? Early this morning?

I just wanted to see how is in the day..Why did you test at +1 today? The OTJ trial instructions are that if you see a green preshot, you don't need to test anymore that day. Let's wait and see where she is at PMPS.
Gotcha! Thanks for the info. Isn’t it so crazy how one tiny drop makes such a huge difference?!I would not start insulin just yet. Can you get a +3? Will that be 3 hours after food?

Thank youThe OTJ trial is as much for the caregiver as the cat. The caregiver (you) have to get used to testing less.
Way to bring it down for PMPS Karemela.![]()
