Checking in... things are going pretty well here, all things considered. Dude is currently at his lowest dose ever (though he might be about due for an increase). Weight is unfortunately also about the lowest ever, but it flattened out this week and the vet isn't alarmed, so I'm trying not to be. Today was the fourth dose in the first round of chemo. Next week is a week off (just CBC and weight check). That will be followed by a second four-week chemo round, and then an ultrasound to see how things are looking.

What are you giving him to help with nausea? It'll probably help him to have a couple weeks between chemo too.

They gave some Cerenia today. I haven't been giving anything at home because his appetite seems pretty normal. I'm also considering feeding the Science Diet a/d (suggested by a colleague of mine who's a vet) to get some calories into him, but our vet doesn't think we need to do that yet. It's 13% carb so we'd probably have to make some dose adjustments to deal with it.

Good grief, maybe I should be giving Cerenia more often. He's been ravenous this evening. Knocked a whole pizza off the table trying to get at the ham on it. (It landed sideways and the pizza faceplanted on the kitchen floor... )

Cerenia is the bomb! I will always have a few pills around, they have been a lifesaver for me a few times with Kona.

Just catching up on Oberson after some time, thinking of you guys! Hope the treatments work well and go easy on him.

One of my special cats from the past used to LOVE the ham from pizza - she'd nudge the box open and knock it right off of the table .
