Nice lower start to today. Woke up at +11 to see 69 on Libre.
Fed 6% this am but added 2 tsp 12.5%. Will see what snacks to give based on how low she is.
Yesterday was a nice active lower am cycle, then lower early pm cycle, then coasted a bit higher later. (I actually got in bed around +6)

Will see what today brings. She’s been very active on this dose:)
The plan is a walk this am and dinner out tonight. (I have 2 reservations, one about 30 minutes away and one 15 minutes away. Will see how comfortable I am later today based on how she looks) :eek:

And a really nice low blue start :cool:
I hope she coasts nicely and gives you a chance to take a nice long walk.

That is so smart! I should do that as well!
The inability to plan ahead has been one of the hardest things in this.
Having Plan B is so helpful! Great idea, Staci! :)

Hi Kit, You’d be surprised how often I’ve learned to have my Plan B reservation as soon as I get an inkling she’s trending lower. It’s something I’ve been doing more and more.
Sadly, I tend to cancel the reservation farther away. And of course they are the places we’d rather go. But, oh well. It’s ok.

I’d rather be more comfortable knowing I can get home quickly if I need to. It makes for a calmer and more fun Staci while we are out :rolleyes:

Hi Staci, wow! I would freak out waking up and seing a 69 on the Libre. :eek: I am really impressed how you handle that and the numbers show, that you know Ivy so well! I hope you still can go out for a walk and everything works out with dinner. So clever, to have all these optional plans! I hope Ivy behaves well and you can choose the best option and feel comfortable.

I hope you slept in your bed last night and will be tonight as well! :bighug::bighug::bighug:

Haha Heike. You may have to get used to it also one day when Binie is ready:)
It’s still shocking when you see the lower members when you wake up and you have to get your brain in gear quickly to figure out what to doo_O
I think you’ll do just fine with all that you’ve had to accomplish with her care. I have complete faith in you:bighug:

I’m not sure what else to do but to have alternate plans when she seems to be in lower numbers. I didn’t used to have to worry about this when she used to be higher but now that she seems to be staying lower more often I have to come up with different strategies.

We are meeting another couple tonight. It’s harder to cancel than when it’s just the two of us. There have definitely been nights that I’ve said I don’t wanna go out because she’s too low. We’ll see what happens tonight, it’s still too early.

I did sleep for a few hours in my bed last night and it was awesome. Who knows where I’ll be tonight. I just never know do I?

Thank you for being optimistic, that I will get used to shoot lower numbers. :nailbiting: I always have to remind myself, that this is where we want to have them.

I perfectly understand, that it is more difficult to change plans, if you meet other people. It helped me a lot when a friend told me a few days ago, that parents of young children also change plans all the time. I am used they tell me 20 minutes before I want to leave the house that the child threw up or got a fever and they can't come. Why should low bg of our fur babys be less a reason to cancel something. Anyhow, I hope you can go and have fun tonight! :bighug::bighug::bighug:

I have to remind myself that all the time, Heike. It takes lots of practice to talk myself off the ledge constantly.
You’re doing just great!

And you’re right, people with little kids always have last minute cancellation because little kids are so unpredictable!
Same with our kitties who need us. Very good point :bighug::bighug::bighug:

She did hold it together, Alicia. Yay. As soon as we got home just before +4 she dropped and I fed her some 12% that she didn’t eat while we were out.
We ended up going to the closer place for my comfort level.

Alicia, you would appreciate the town where I wanted to go for dinner. It has a rich theatre history. It’s close to us but a little farther to go when Ivy is lower.
Good restaurant scene and it’s a cute little town on the river :)
