yesterday
She woke me up by throwing up on my bed. No hair ball but she looked like she wanted to expel more, so maybe it's coming. I panicked, I was afraid she was going to be in pain again, but she came downstairs and sat by her bowl. Now she ate, had her shot and Bupe, and she is acting a little guarded but does not look sick, just maybe slightly uncomfortable.
I have this "possible IBD or round cell infiltrate" in mind and wonder what I should do. I'll start by reading about it.
@Wendy&Neko I think it ws you who said you had experience with that with your cats, is there anything I should be doing at this point? What signs would be very alarming? Thank you!
I incvreased to 2.5 this morning, by the way.

I hope so too. She's not been moving much, in a "cat loaf" position, but she came up to me for her daily butter lick and she stayed close by. Maybe she feels a little bit nauseous.

Yes, three cats (in a row!) with small cell lymphoma, aka round cell, one of which has IBD too. Things to look for are basically GI related. So diarrhea ongoing or vomiting more than once every few months, constipation, weight loss in spite of good appetite and not reduced food. Some cats only signs are weight loss. Note weight loss also can be caused by unregulated diabetes of hyperthyroidism. My vet can feel intestines and see if they are thickened. Ultimately, the next step of diagnosis is an ultrasound. A GI blood panel testing cobalamin (B12) and folate can be helpful as a good number of these kitties have low B12 and need supplementation.

If you are seeing vomiting, keep a log. My vet has taken copies of the "vomit log". :rolleyes:. Basically the date, time of day and when in relation to food, what the vomit looked like (foamy, hairball, with food), and if anything novel happened in ways of food. I heard of one person recently who changed sources of meat for raw, and got GI issues happening, but it cleared up when the "newly" made raw was discontinued. You want to tease out short term issues like bad food batch from longer term issues such as developing allergy to a particular protein (IBD). When I adopted current kitty, I figured out pretty quickly that fish was a no-go.

Thank you so much, that is great info.
I will start a log. She definitely vomits more often than every few months, especially recently (in the last 3-4 months). I will start a log. She eats raw food and I alternate them since some come with supplements and some do not. Maybe I should alternate less often to get a better idea. Now it's every 2 to 3 weeks.

Yes, I love it. She jumps on a chair by the counter when I put my bread in the toaster (not today, but she still came closer), and then she watches me butter it and moves to another chair to lick the knife. Always the same chairs :-) If I am not fast enough, she does not hesitate to walk accross the island to come see what I am doing, too.
