Happy Caturday! Its been another week. She dropped again so I lowered to 1.5. She had an initial bounce and then seemed to straighten out and was doing reasonable until yesterday. WHAT HAPPENED YESTERDAY??? No clue, but she seems back on track today. I havent had to syringe feed all week, which is good. Her appetite and food preference for the moment is always a surprise, but we are dealing with it.
I hope everyone had a wonderful week. :cat:

Nice to see her back in blues today, I suspect you may have missed a lime on pm cycle Nov 20th or the 82 AMPS itself caused the bounce. Some cats will go high before they break but at least she’s not staying on the trampoline long. Good to hear her appy is holding steady :)

Oh, Karamelle... why are you so bouncy? :banghead:

Hang in there Jo, you're doing a great job... hope these reds clear out. Looking at the SS, I'm curious as well like Christie on that PM cycle from Wednesday night. That 82 AMPS the next morning is suspicious.

Maybe she's still on a bounce? It can take up to 5 days for some cats I've seen.

Note: last time you even had a red was on 11/4 and that was a crazy low AMPS as well.

Maybe try to get in a +3 every once in awhile if you can to see if you can catch potential PM cycles where she might be diving hard and could be contributing to all the colors.

Kona starting to change to going lower at night now, so I'm having to switch more testing at nights.

Thanks Jason. I actually got a +3 tonight. All it told me is its coming down. We'll see what it does in the morning. Karamelle is definitely a bouncy girl!!

Looking at the night of 11/14. You had a PMPS of 323 and there was a huge drop at +2 down to 204. On that night, I would've gotten a +3 to see how much she was still going to drop through the night as that morning you started with a 61.

Do you have autofeeders? Amazon just came out with this one https://www.amazon.com/Amazon-Basics-Automatic-Feeder-Cooling/dp/B0CSDQQ9C3?ref_=ast_sto_dp

I'm curious if you can see the trends more at night and help influence the trajectory. So on that night of 11/14, I would've put out the automatic feeder to help break action or to feed the curve.

You might be able to break these bounces some with influencing those night cycles. There's so much unknowns going on at night, maybe testing with autofeeders might be a good experiment.

Karamelle is not a good eater, since she was diagnosed with Pancreatitis this past July. I leave low carb food out at night because I have other cats, but she never eats any I dont think. I stopped leaving the meal in one of the locations because it wasnt getting eaten by anyone. The only thing she would eat out of a feeder is dry food, which she cant have. I have all the other cats dry food in microchip feeders. She hasnt been trained on one of these and I doubt, her food would be much temptation for her to open it. I do switch up the foods. She gets freeze dried raw (which she used to eat really well before the Pancreatitis), several flavors of the classic Fancy Feast (she likes the fishy ones best), and Weruva chicken slide and serve (the lowest in carbs) Id love to know what her BG is doing overnight, but I just cant disrupt my sleep like that. I sleep horribly as it is and rarely have time to sleep during the day with having to feed her small meals very often to make sure she gets enough to eat. Shes on both Ondansetron and Mirataz. I give Buprenorphine and Cerenia occasionally when I think shes in a flare and isnt eating as well. I even split the Mirataz dose in half and am giving am and pm because her appetite was tanking in the evening.
Im sorry, your suggestions are all great and Ive thought of them, but it just isnt possible. I am still trying to work this out.
To add, I wont do the Libre because the numbers are so much different than the hand held that it would just be too confusing for me. Plus if she drops t night, that alarm would wake me up and it might not even be too low, since the libre numbers tend to run lower from what I've read.

Hi Jo. Glad to see Karamelle is eating better. I see we both are still having problems with doses, dives and bounces, some things never change, lol. Hopefully they will both find their happy place soon.

Hugs to you both!

Thanks Deb. Its a struggle for sure. She had a non-eating day yesterday. Hopefully today is better. Love to you and Tiger with a hope for more regular numbers. :bighug::bighug:
