Last night was all yellow on the Libre. At least we both slept for once. (Still groggy) :coffee::coffee:

Perhaps a bounce from the previous 12-18 hours of some dips she saw.

Today I am having some windows replaced so there will be noise and disruption in the house;)
Ivy can spend the day in her cozy condo to be out of the way. She will be happy I will leave her alone for once

Hoping she comes back down today:cool::D

I’m watching the news now and all this talk about all these drones in the skies… it’s really getting crazy

Hope all the kitties are doing well and stay safe :cat::cat:

I hope you and Her Majesty survive the work today. So glad you got some sleep (I’m sure not enough)

Fwiw many of the sightings are probably regular aircraft. Much of the video and pictures I’ve seen have red and green wing tip lights and white strobes. Those are required on aircraft by the FAA so the planes can be seen. I doubt anyone up to no good would put lights on their aircraft, and can’t imagine aliens complying with FAA rules :) so look for the lights in anyone’s video. The sightings are probably akin to all the “white van” sightings after a kidnapping. They’re always there but just not noticed. If they were ours but a secret project we’d have stopped as soon as spotted. If they aren’t ours I have to believe they are being jammed and we in turn are probing them for info. But I think this is just a “war of the worlds” example of tricks of the human mind. I just hope no one gets killed from people shooting guns into the air (they’re never the ones hit when the bullet returns to earth)

edit: one picture I saw were probably starlink satellites that can be surprising the first time someone sees them. Everytime someone does around here they post the picture on Nextdoor and fifty people respond : starlink

Safe surfing for Ivy!

Ah, windows! It took us a few years to replace ours, Bella did not like it, especially the last ones, the kitchen windows. It was January and if I remember well it was -30 that day. Not fun to have 2 large openings all day long. I hope yours goes fast and not too much noise!

Good meowning Staci and Ivy!

Glad you caught up on some sleep last night. You need it.
Hopefully Ivy doesn't get too stressed with the strangers and all the noise today.

Wishing you an uneventful Tuesday!

Hi Staci,

glad Ivy sees such beautiful numbers today and glad you got some sleep! Hope everything works well with the windows and the workers are as friendly with Ivy as the painter (gato meow!).

This drone story is strange, we also had it in the news. We had a drone one time over the terrace and it scared Binie. :nailbiting: I would have loved to shoot it down because of that. :)

Have a great day! :bighug::bighug::bighug:

Hi Colleen, yeah it’s so interesting to see all of the hysteria over this stuff. It does remind one of War of the Worlds. What an incredible work that was. Orson Wells was quite talented.
I agree with you in that I hope people aren’t going to hurt others by doing stupid things. That’s very scary.

We did survive the window saga today. Glad it happened on a not bitter cold day for once!

I hope you and Methos and your gang had a calm day and not too much drama.
Ivy (and I) send love to your furry crew :bighug::bighug::bighug:

Brrr. That must have been awful Cecile.
I am lucky today wasn’t bitter cold here. It could have been really bad.
Glad that’s over and we can have a quiet night now.
Hope you and Bella are doing well :bighug::cat::bighug:

Good morning, Staci.
Glad you both got sleep last night.
Hope Ivy surfs steady blue and green today and the noise doesn't bother her.
Good luck with the windows.
Safe surfing, Ivy! Wishing you both a great day!

Hi Madeline, thank you. She survived just fine. Slept in. The basement away from The noise much of the day so she was a happy girl.
I hope you and Butch also had a good day and he’s doing well. Hope you both have a calm night ahead and a safe surf.:bighug::bighug::bighug:

Hi Karolina, Ivy was very happy to stay away from all of the noisemakers today. She looked at it as a good excuse to sleep in her comfy bed with no interruptions.

Thank you for the caTpuccino, I certainly needed that this morning. I had to be up and ready for a house full of noisemakers at 7:30 this morning. Much earlier than I like having people in my house:rolleyes:
I hope you had a nice day, too :bighug::bighug::bighug:

Hi Heike, Ivy made it a point to stay away from all of the guys working today. So she had no interaction and no admires. But that was OK as long as she was safe and comfortable:joyful:

That’s interesting that Binie Had that reaction to a drone on the terrace. I don’t think Ivy would like it either. She gets scared when the wind blows if she’s sitting on my patio and she runs back in the house:smuggrin:
I hope you and Binie have a good rest this evening. I know you had a bit of a rough day with the fur shot.
You both need to rest and recover from the stress of that. Tomorrow will be better, just remember to breathe. We are sending you big hugs :bighug::bighug::bighug:

The tricks our minds can play on us are many, and I think it can lead to things like war of the worlds, or Salem witches. Otoh I believe in the positive power of belief, the manifestation of good it can have from personal miracles to world movements. But in this case I just hope no one will end up having to answer for a child struck by a falling projectile, or a life flight shot out of the sky. There’s a town in the FL panhandle, Gulf breeze, where people would often see ufo’s. It’s also in the flight path of several military bases and commercial lanes, plus near the water—water reflections can make us see things in the sky that aren’t there. When we’d fly at night sometimes we’d hit the afterburner over gulf breeze just to laugh. There could be some actual drones among the sightings—probably commercial or even law enforcement—LE out looking for reported drones

but all the videos I’ve seen look like aircraft which at night, to people not used to looking at them, can look unusual. Last year a neighbor had me come out in my yard to look at what they thought might be a ufo (knowing I flew)—it was a plane pointed at us with its landing lights—because it was straight on it appeared to be a huge bright hovering object.
Anyway I hope the east coast is safe. If not…well, glad I’m in a rural town out here :)

Your stories are incredible, Colleen. You should write a book.

I’ll be curious to hear what they end up figuring about all this stuff out at some point, stay tuned.

That was stupid to have booked it for January. I guess I did not realize what they were saying when I booked it in July. The previous ones were during the summer and there was a storm and a power outtage. I am glad we're done with that!
Enjoy your new windows!
