This looks like start of bounce, revenge for the blues, or the antibodies coming off break or me injecting too deep or or or or …. happy friday!

Minner is feeling frisky. Thought I would share a pic of her at 18 days old (my hubby feeding her) and another from earlier this week. Oh for the love of this precious kitty.

So cute!!!! I didn't know that injecting too deep can have an effect. I know sub-q and not muscle, right? I have a hard time "tenting" Jude's skin for the sub-q because he's, well, chonky, and it's hard to pull the skin up away from the, you know, fat. I've been trying some new techniques where I go at a distinct angle, but I always worry about the fur shot. Anyway, Minner is precious at 18 days and now!

The day started slow and didn’t see much of a reduction from the insulin. I do wonder if she absorbs differently in different areas or if her IAA somehow camps out at more frequent injection site locations. No clue. Tonight is seeing some action. 100 points down from pmps at +4. Assuming that will slow down now (?) but checking again at +6.

I can’t speak to IAA but I’ve heard injection in the scruff (doesn’t look like you do that) are slower and more irregularly adsorbed. Fwiw. I don’t think you got muscle—Glargine injected into muscle acts like a short acting insulin. This is because the pH of muscle is different so rather than some of it getting deposited and slowly released it all stays in solution so it’s like giving a much bigger dose. You would see a huge drop suddenly then very short duration. At least that’s the science in humans (mods can correct me if cats are different)

Cute kitten pic! Hubby has skills.:)

I injected just below the shoulder blades for Neko's FD journey. I tried the sides - she said No. Her hair was also shorter around the shoulders.

192 and 196 are the same number, well within meter variance. Having a +2 the same as the preshot is what we call a normal Lantus cycle. Nice to see the return of the blues tonight. Don't forget to show it in the spreadsheet. ;)
