Unexpected “low” AMPS given last night’s 236 PMPS and +3 234. Did not monitor after +3, got some needed sleep.

I don’t understand this. Does that mean she could have dipped really low overnight and I should have checked her at least once …. That’s the kind of torture in my brain. Really need to get to some kind of regularity to be a sustainable routine. I know more data will help with this, as we only have a few days under our belt with these lower blue and now green appearances.

@bluesunshine Yesterday’s pee weight was the lowest it has been since I started measuring in August. :)

Minner ate her pates this morning in a more normal fashion. Not quite as much, but not to worry, last Monday she was 15.2 lbs, today 15.4 lbs. We also scaled back testing a bit, so fewer treats.

+5 is a green at 90. Woohoo!

Playing this morning right after her +5 check. She loves brown packing paper and these little felt balls.

Awwwwwwe, looks like she’s having some fun in the sun!

That kind of cycle is classic for a bounce break, which she is now doing super quickly. That’s really awesome news, in my opinion. In my mind, that means she is getting used to spending time in the blue and green healing zone. The less extreme bounces, the more predictable her cycles will be, and the less stress on you.

If you look at Bell’s spreadsheet in September, you’ll see many similar cycles where she breaks her bounce quickly. The evening of 9/10 looks very similar to Minner’s evening cycle.

All good news! As to how you should handle when to go to bed during one of those, might be worth tagging your post with a question and having someone with more experience advise. You’ve got a good data point now showing that Minner has the ability to clear her bounce in less than a cycle. I know some folks here use a lower +2 than the PS as an indicator that there may be some action in the cycle, although your +3 was flat.

Another wonderful day for Minner. :)

You are right that data will help you determine when you can go to bed. FWIW, with Neko, I would have done the same as you did last night. But ECID. She also liked to start pink and slide down to low blue overnight.

Thanks Seth. This is such a hopeful thing to hear.

This is really amazing. The power of data analysis. I don’t have much yet b/c she’s been yellow most of insulin journey so far. We’re getting there now.

Thank you Wendy. Will continue to learn and hope to see patterns and a shred of predictability.

That is nerve wracking. Minner is starting at 124, the lowest PMPS I’ve shot. Starting at low blue, going to what ?? We need a nail biting emoji. She seemed more hungry than usual, ate most of the tuna loin post shot treat then 30min later ate 1/2 can FF chunky chicken (4%) and nervous nellie gave her 4 drops of bisque that she lapped up in 2 seconds, then looked at me like “really? That’s it, a speck”?

Looks like an early bed time for you tonight. With that massive bounce to blue. :p

The first time I shot blue, then green, Neko bounced right away. Made it easier for me to shoot low.

Wendy is right … it’s a bounce. 200 @ +6. Sigh. Also correct that the experience alters the fear level … and my feeling of needing to prop up a low blue after shooting. Off to bed. Please flatten out Minner!
