Good evening,

we had a higher than usual day and I decided to make the overdue increase to 3.25 IU in the evening. Unfortunately I made a stupid mistake - I gave the shot one hour too early. This made me quite nervous about her +2 but she stayed flat so far.

I went through her ss and usually I don't see any effect of an increase before three or four cycles. So hopefully tonight nothing happens and my mistake has no consequences. Tomorrow night we have to stay up anyway, because some neighbors usually go mad with fireworks.

The skin where the libre was got better. The hard "reptile skin" fell almost completely off. The skin itself is discoloured and there are still a lot of flakes of dead skin. I feel I should definitely wait longer before placing a new libre - this time without skin tak wipes, which most likely have caused this problem.

She opened up some skin on her breast again. Today I was able to inspect it and there are scabs and it feels dry. So hopefully we get by with it but it seems she always opens them up again.

My vet comes back on the 7th of January and I will schedule an appointment for Binie for bloodwork and to talk about the overall situation.

Hope all the kittys surf safe tonight! :bighug::cat::bighug:

Hi Heike, lots of good luck with the new dose hope Binie handles it and takes her time reacting to it, but not too long.
Glad to hear her skin is healed and looking back to normal again. That’s great news.

good luck tomorrow night with the fireworks. I hope it’s not too bad. I’m glad she is happy to stay indoors with you so she does not get scared by all the noise of the stupid people who are insensitive to how much trauma they cause to pets:banghead:

I hope her breast stays not a problem and you can hang in till the vet comes back.
You’re doing a great job!
Big hugs to you and Binie :bighug::bighug::bighug:

Binie's spreadsheet for the year tells a story in color ... Red and black give way to pink, then yellow, and then for a while she decorates her days in a patchwork of ALL the colors, then at last decides that yellow and blue are her favorites. Here's to more of that! :bighug::cool::cat:

I wouldn’t worry about the 1 hour difference, Heike. I feel like that could mess up a very flat, regulated cat, but for bouncers like Binie and Bell, I don’t think one hour would impact a ton.

Good to hear her libre skin stuff is getting better and good on you for dealing without the libre! I don’t know how you manage all of Binie’s different issues at the same time, you’re doing so good!

Good luck with the increase!
I also don't think annhr early will mess her up. If it does you would only see it tomorrow and the next day. So keep monitoring.

The one hour time difference could make a difference in a cat seeing lower nadirs than Binie. It doesn't have to be a regulated cat. An earlier dose can act like a dose increase, but she's getting one of those anyway.

Tomorrow night we have to stay up anyway, because some neighbors usually go mad with fireworks.

Hey, you, dimwit with the bottle rockets, knock it off

Hoping Binie was able to reason with the neighbors in her usual sweet way

PS wow amazing job with that long string of blues, all captured with a hand held. Binie isn’t going to want to give up her good churu deal…she may pull the libre off to go back to testing :)

I think in pictures so I start with the thing that popped into my head and google it in words (cat firing automatic rifle) and see what might match :)

I’m a parasite on more creative people in other words.

Wishing you a great New Year (for Bella one filled with butter and freshly shaved Parmesan)
