Also I'm wondering how many cans is everyone feeding per day?
I've eliminated one meal during the night cause the boys look like they've gained a few. So meow they're fed 4x/day.
At shot times plus once during each cycle.
that amounts to 2 cans of FF/cat. Is that enough?

How much do your boys weigh? I used the formula below as a starting point.

Required calories per day = [13.6 X optimal lean body weight in pounds] + 70

A data point for you - Pookey is 18 lbs and I feed a little over 3 of the 3oz FF cans a day. The FF pate 3oz cans are like 90 calories each.

Yes I'm just outside of Toronto. But I fly out of downtown Toronto.
Are you on the other side of the Falls?

Nestle weighs around 16lbs. Peanut around 10lbs.
And whatever Peanut doesn't finish Nestle usually steals from him so he gets a bit more food with each meal :smuggrin::rolleyes::p
 
Hi Karolina.
Butch is 16 lbs, I feed him 2 1/2 of 3oz FF cans a day and 1/2 filet of tilapia. If it's an active cycle, then sometimes he gets about 3 cans of FF.

Go by calories, not number of can. Neko was just under 15 lbs - I drew that line in the sand! - and she did well on about 220-225 calories per day. The formula above is a starting point, but cats have different activity levels and metabolisms. Use a pet scale to decide if you are feeding the right amount. Vets are usually good at telling you ideal weight.

Regarding dose, I'd like to see more nadirs under 80. But you need to be able to monitor after any increase.
