Good evening,

glad we saw some more blue today. I would love to have her a little lower though but I have in mind, I have another day away for work on Tuesday.

Yesterday I found out she gained a lot of weight without me noticing. :( In only six weeks she put on 400 gr. :banghead: I fear her thyroid medications need to be adjusted. Next week on Friday we are at the vet to do labs. There seems to be always something.....

Hope everyone has a great day! :bighug::bighug::bighug:

Hi Wendy, thank you for checking on us! Yes, I also thought about an increase. But as I wrote I am scared about another day from home next Tuesday. And I still remember that strange drop on the 7th. I wondered if I can try a 3 IU F and see if this already helps?

Thank you so much Diane for your support! :bighug::bighug::bighug: I am also happy about every blue number. Unfortunately she opened up a wound on her chest again. :( I hope you are well! :bighug::bighug::bighug:

Hi Heike, Binie is seeing more blue these days.
Do you think she’s eating more churrus since you’ve been testing her more? Could that have added to her weight gain?
We know she loves her churrus.

You're doubt such a wonderful job with Binie. She’s come a long way.
Hope you both have a very restful night and nice blue numbers :cool:

Hi Staci, thank you so much for your support! :bighug::bighug::bighug: She definitely had more churrus but they are quite low in calories and they alone can't explain 400 grams in such a short time. Since yesterday I checked a lot of options and found some possible culprits. Also changing her wet food from 5 % to 9 % might have contributed. I was happy she had more wet food and not so much low carb kibble anymore. I have to figure that out over the next days. Always something new, right? :bighug::bighug::bighug:

I would first blame her thyroid.

Also, a not well controlled cat loses weight because they can’t use the food they eat. Now that she’s better controlled she may actually be getting those calories into her

whatever the case, she’s still the cat with the most kissable face ever.

Not worth fattening the dose with the dose at 3 units and all the nadirs above 150. Better strategy might be to increase now by 0.25 units and over the weekend see what she would do at that dose. You can always back off the dose for Tuesday if that is worrying you.
