Bell stop being a bouncy ball, please! We can't seem to break from the bounce -> bounce break low -> bounce again cycle we are in on this dose. I'm guessing she either needs more or less insulin, but I'm not sure which :D. I have no room to increase, since she is hitting the low 50s on her bounce breaks. I'm also not sure a decrease is going to help either. I'll keep on this dose for the time being, unless someone more experienced has thoughts on how I should proceed here. Her numbers aren't bad at all, and she is breaking bounces fairly quickly, but I suspect the cycles will gradually shift to more yellows and pinks than greens. We shall see. Thinking out loud here :)

I managed to get her to the vet today to look at the weird pawing at the mouth. The vet too a good look at her teeth and thought they looked great. She went back and reviewed the xrays just to make sure she didn't miss anything and thought they looked great too. We both wondered if having Bell's mouth propped open during the dental triggered this FOPS-like behavior. She said she could give Bell an anti-inflammatory injection, but I opted to hold off for now. I haven't seen Bell do the pawing thing for the last couple days (but I have been at work more), so I'm hoping this will gradually go away. Keeping an eye on it. Always something :p

Bell still isn't eating from her autofeeder while I'm at work, gah. She does during the night tho! Working on that. She seems to be doing good tho! She was extra upset on the ride to the vet today because I think she was remembering the last trip, which was the dental. She seemed happy to just have the Solensia shot and the checkup. Blair is doing her stranger danger hissing at Bell this evening

"Stranger danger," lol! Why do they do that, anyway? Glad to hear that Bell's pawing is not a tooth problem, and I hope it will gradually disappear on its own. She's way too adorable to be hiding in her carrier ... please lift her out gently gently and give her a smooch on her soft n'fuzzy little forehead from me!

Awe thank you, Bhooma! I’m pretty much back to normal besides whatever I did to my ribs. But I’m not constantly coughing anymore so that is manageable.

Oh, she is so cute hiding like that in her carrier! I hope all stress is forgotten now and she will slide down gently.
I am also glad to read you are doing better, other than the coughing pain. It's almost the weekend, hopefully you can stay home :bighug::bighug::bighug:

Thanks so much, Cecile. Bell is the most forgiving cat. She seems fine the minute she is home. I am planning to take it easy this weekend!!

I’ll offer my 2 Canadian cents, although these days, not worth much. Ignore the bounces. Bounces have nothing to do with decisions on whether to increase or decrease. Where they do come in handy is watching the patterns and with kitties like Bell who seem to telegraph going high before they break, then that’s when to pay attention. When she’s bouncing, find time to do some things for yourself :). And as you have astutely pointed out, she doesn’t bounce for long. As a matter of fact, looks like she’s breaking the bounce today.

Glad to hear your vet was so thorough, including going back to look at the x-rays, and that Bell is doing better on that front.

Tonight will be interesting..,see you later ;)

Thank you very much, northern friend! I’ll start today’s thread in a bit but today has been a great cycle. First time in a while that she’s been low without hugging the 50 line. Very curious if she goes back up tonight or can give me another cycle like this.
