Ivy ate breakfast well today:cat:. Hooray for eating.
But poops are still softer than I’d like. Not runny or pudding like, just softer than normal, which means she’s not back to her normal yet.

I will continue with S. Boulardi 1/2 capsule 2 times a day, 1 ml of Colon Rescue x2 daily and 4 mg Cerenia 1x.
Will contact vet to see what he recommends.
I’m trying to support her system so she doesn’t relapse into full blown pancreatitis again.
Can they just take weeks to recover from a full blown bout, or is what she’s having another bout?

It seemed she had recovered even began again with soft stools after I thought she was back to her normal earlier in the week.

We are scheduled to check full bloodwork on April 1.

She’s behaving pretty normally. Purring when she climbs on me for cuddles (she didn’t do that when she was sick).

Really hoping she will fully recover and resolve this issue soon. It’s very stressful watching and worrying so intensely :arghh:

She is so beautiful! I was going to say like Tim, I never saw asuch a fluffy tail.
I hope she will recover completely soon. It's a good thing she is acting normally, enjoy those cuddles!
 
Good meowning Staci and Ivy!

We're continuing to send lots and lots healing vines.

And also look at this fluffy princess on the bed. I just wanna loose myself in her softness.I'd brush her for hours and kiss that belly.

She is such a beautiful girl. Love her white socks... Or I guess they're more like chaps? lol

I hope your sweet girl is back to feeling normal soon and you can stop having to worry about pancreatitis for a bit!
 
She is adorable, Staci. Her sweet face, her fuzzy little head, her fluffy boots -- and her tail!! I'm so sorry she's had a rough go with pancreatitis lately. I hope she is recovering steadily, if slowly. Sending loads of hugs and all healing vines :bighug::bighug::bighug:

Thanks, Cecile, I hope so too. I just don't know if this is normal "recovery" glitches or another bout. All new to me and so concerning.
I'm thankful she's still cuddling though.

Yep, she is very fluffy and cuddly (but on her terms, of course). She only lets me brush her in limited doses. She likes a tiny flea comb I have and it has metal teeth. She likes to rub her face gently against that and then I can comb her chin and chest carefully. Until she's had enough and she bites me ;)

Thank you, Karen! she's had a rough month and I hope she will recover. We really appreciate your hugs and good vines, so appreciated.

Ivy is beautiful!! She looks like she feels good in this photo! How long it take for a cat to recover from a Pancreatitis flare varies per cat. It also depends on if you are controlling the symptoms. If she is eating thats great!! Did you join my group yet?

Hi Jo, yes I joined the group after we spoke last week.
At the moment, I do think she feels OK because she’s not hiding and she’s not cowing in the corner like she was when she had full-blown pancreatitis. She’s being cuddly and loving as normal.

She is eating well.

It’s just that the poops had gotten better and then they seem to have become softer again. And, she had one episode on Saturday morning, where she ate and then vomited right away, one time, so that made me very afraid that she was relapsing
At this point, it’s the loose stools that I’m most concerned about. I can’t seem to get them fully back to normal.
I don’t know if it just takes time from the recovery of the first episode or if she is relapsing, do you have any thoughts?

The fact that shes eating is a sign that the Pancreatitis isnt bothering her. Diarrhea isnt a super common symptom of Pancreatitis, but more common with IBD. I know youve been giving the s, Boulardii and a lot of people have good results with that, but Ive always had better results when I give a probiotic that has that in it with other strains as well. Ive had great luck with Nexabiotic. The flare could be lingering, or it could be a new flare, of she could also have IBD. its hard to say.

I give her a pinch of Adored Beast Healthy Gut Digestive Enzyme/Pre & Probiotic 2x a day (normal routine) as well.

I’ll have to check out what you give, maybe it’s better for her?

I’m glad to hear you don’t think it’s pancreatitis based on the fact that she’s eating. Now I just have to get her stools firmed up and back to normal.

I'm sorry for all the stress, Staci. Hang in there. I love the pic so much! It gives off the vibe of "I really want to rub her belly but I know it would be a horrible idea"
 
Hi Staci , I hope it's just taking time for her poops to get back to normal. I'm sending positive vibes that's all it is . I know I've told you before ,but she is gorgeous. Give her kisses for me :bighug::bighug::bighug::bighug:
