It's been a really busy couple of days, but this time saved all the info on my phone so I could fill in the spreadsheet. I haven't gotten a chance to sit down much to post. Things should be slower now, and I should have more consistency in posting.

Good news though. The vet says they could figure something out financially, and he has his dental surgery scheduled for April 25th! Mind you, still very expensive, but I'm just happy it's getting done.

Still not going poop very often. Moved up to the 1/4th tsp of Miralax a couple of days ago. Should I/Can I give more pumpkin? He's been getting at least twice a day, but most days 3 times a day, 2tsps.

Here are the other bits from days I did not get the chance to post.
3/17 - AMPS 102, +5 73, PMPS 99, +7 79.
3/18 - AMPS 102, +2 70, +9 76, PMPS 89, +3 90, +5 79, +9 97

Sorry to hear that. You can try 1/2 teaspoon if no action. If he will eat it more pumpkin is fine too. How often is he going?
He poops about once every 3 days, on average right now, and some of those days it's only a couple of pebbles. He doesn't seem to be in pain, but he's definitely constipated. No trying and failing to use the litterbox or anything like that.
I have not tried psyllium husk. Where do I pick this up from, any brand recommendations? Could I use this in addition to the pumpkin and Miralax?

Be careful with psyllium. Kitty has to be drinking enough water or it can make the constipation worse.

I also use psyllium husk 2.5 pinches 2x daily
NOW Supplements, Psyllium Husk... https://www.amazon.com/dp/B002RWUNYM?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share

I started with a pinch for a few days. Too much to start can cause bloating.

I got plain psyllium husk powder at a vitamin/supplement store.

He's been drinking lots from his dish, but also give him quite a lot of water mixed in with his food. Both for hydration and because once he pushes the pate into the corners of the dish he gives up on trying to get it out, water prevents it from sticking as much in the crevices of the food dish. He is drinking less since being on insulin though in general. Peeing less still, but some mounds are still fairly large. He gets roughly 5 tablespoons of water in his food, though maybe can add some more when I try this just to be safe. Thank you so much for the info.
That's great news :bighug::bighug::bighug:

Yes! I'm so happy, I was so stressed that I wasn't going to be able to put enough together before the abscess came back. He has a scar from the previous one and it finally just completely closed up. Switching to a wet food diet has been really nice for him for many reasons, one of them being that he doesn't have to chew crunchy bits of food anymore, which probably was not comfortable with his periodontal disease. I was looking back on some old paperwork from previous Vets, back before I was in control of his care (I was 12). My family had never shown me these or mentioned this, but in all of his paperwork from back when I was younger, he had periodontal disease and I just never knew. It was first noted when he was a year old, almost 13 years ago. I'm honestly surprised this didn't happen sooner. I'm glad I have the knowledge to take care of it now.

Psyllium is definitely start low, go slow method. I got mine bulk at a vitamin store, but have since seen it in a local grocery store near the cereals.
Thank you so much for this information. I will go slow with it.
