Hope the Zobaline does the trick, Laurie. Hope it helps Petey soon.

After I used it for a while, I was on the phone with the company that makes/sells it and they told me I could give it twice a day and that could help since she wasn’t seeing any results from once a day. I did that for quite some time too but still no real improvement. (Of course you would want to ask your vet about that, if it got to that point).

Hope you both have a great day and a safe surf

Thank you Staci. Hoping all the things keeps him going strong! Relieved to see some improvement since I always fear the worst!

3/23 Post

How is March almost over?! Have a fabulous Monday.

Starting out good this morning . Zobaline started last night. Skipped the gaba last night and he still came upstairs this morning and seems good so far. He's also been on Dasaquin for 8 days now, twice a day.

It really is unbelievable. I kinda hate it.

On an entirely unrelated note, Laurie, I just noticed you're in NH! I grew up in NH (but am now a NorCal transplant). :)

Ugh! Feel like I didn't even give a shot this morning! I thought for sure it was gonna be a favorable day.

I ended up getting an appointment at his vet. Dropping him off at 8am tomorrow and I'm pretty nervous. And just so sad that we were on such a good track and just been off the rails. Trying to be optimistic he's eating, grooming, peeing, and pooping just fine and when he can he's exploring.

What is the Zobaline for?

Come back down, Petey! Those recent blues (including this a.m.) were a good sign this dose is working. He's just bouncing.

I hope the vet visit is informative.

So sorry today is a heavy day for you Laurie. You guys will get back on track. I was going through the same emotions just a week ago and then all of sudden things just clicked. I always had to remind myself of something I read here - “Managing their diabetes is a marathon and not a race”

Really hope all goes well at his appointment tomorrow. :bighug:

I got Zobaline thinking maybe he has some neuropathy happening, causing weakness in a hide legs, and B12 won't hurt if that's not it. Trying all the things just in case and hoping it's not long term pain management.

He's been so bouncy again, my fear is something else is driving his higher numbers.

Thank you, me too! That's weighing the heaviest, just tell me he's ok. :bighug:

Best of luck with the vet visit today. :bighug::cat:

If the Zobaline ever gets too expensive for you

If you are giving Zobaline for the neuropathy I used to give that but got too expensive .

the Vitacost brand another member told me about
Vitamin B-12 Methylcobalamin -- 5000 mcg - 100 Capsules

Same as Zobaline , but the Zobaline is so expensive as you know
This is the same thing
The only difference is the Zobaline has 200 mcgs of folic acid
So I bought the folic acid at the supermarket and crush it up and added it to the Vitacost brand
If you can't find the 200 mcg get the 400 mcg and cut it in half and crush it up and add it, some members didn't even add the folic acid and the neuropathy improved
The Vitacost brand is a capsule so just open it and pour the powder on the wet food
Has no taste, no need to crush it up, I still give it to Tyler every now and then and he has never tasted it in his food , I always add water to his food and just stir up the methyl B-12 good
I switched to the vitacost brand because the zobaline was too expensive,
Even though the vitacost brand is 5000 mcgs and the zobaline is 3000 mcgs
What they don't need they will pee out because it's water soluble.

The Zobaline is expensive for 60 pills, 30.00 some other places want 33.00
I used to use the Zobaline when I joined, then a member told me about the Vitacost brand .

It took about 2 months for Tyler to get back to walking normal, jumping on to the couch, running around
But every few weeks I did see a slight improvement
Some members didn't even add the folic acid to the vitacost brand and it still helped and the neuropathy was gone
