Good morning everyone :)

Fistuk didn't manage to get much rest at night. He was retching @+9.5PM (thought it's 5.30am :banghead:). I was in bed, but couldn't really get much sleep.

Fistuk refused eating this morning so we gave 0.4U (half the dose) and 1/4 s. bouldraii and I also gave 60ml SQ. His gums are not tacky but I didn't like the pace in which his skin bounced back from tenting.

He tried to run away from me and couldn't so the poor thing peed in his bed. At least I know he can pee :p

I gave him two 1ml food with syringe in a gap to see how it goes down. So far so good so I'll give him a bit more like that.

I decided to give slippery elm bark a chance first since Ondansetron also takes quite a while to kick in and is body would benefit more with less medication. I'll see how it goes SEB should have quite an immediate effect.

Vet visit is @+7 and we'll be leaving the house @+5.5.

Wishing you all a peacful day:bighug::bighug::bighug:

Hi @Staci & Ivy :)
I might be late to the party.... but when I searched for the ondansetron post I saw a comment that you were asking about SEB.
I've also heard that it binds meds but I have a link to share which I actually followed and I can echo what they say, that it doesn't impact the absorption of meds. It didn't affect his BG numbers or the effect of AB when I gave it back then. Thought you might want to have a look at this :

Hugs to you and Ivy :bighug::bighug::bighug:

Hi Shelly, I’m so sorry to hear Fistuk is not feeling well and had a really rough night:(
We’re sending prayers and healing vines to both of you.
I hope he has a quick recovery from whatever is going on. You’re doing such a fabulous job managing everything:bighug:

I read your comment about SEB, Thank you for sending that.
How do you give the SEB to him? And how much is the dose?
How long until you see a result?

Thanks for the information again and we will keep paws crossed for Fistuk to feel much better. Please keep us posted.
Much love :kiss::bighug::kiss::bighug:

Thank you, Karolina <3
I'll write an update tomorrow. We're both pretty wiped out but Fistuk hasn't vomited anymore today and I started Ondansetron and syringe feed
Big hug :bighug::bighug::bighug::bighug::bighug::bighug:

Thank you, Staci <3

SEB works pretty immediately. After I gave it to him today he hasn't had any voimiting and was willing to eat, even if it was with the syringe.
The recommended dose is 3-5ml 45 mins before food. But gave him only 2ml.
I use the cooked method. Boil a cup of water, then mix in a tsp of SEB, then simmer for 3-4 mins. When it's cooled I draw it with a syringe to give him directly in the mouth. Keep in the fridge the rest.

Let me know how it worked for you.
Update tomorrow.

Thank you, Shelly. I’ll have to try it and will let you know.

I’m so glad it worked so quickly for Fistuk!!
Praying he feels much better.
I hope you both get some rest tonight.

Hey Shelly <3 :bighug::bighug::bighug: I hope Fistuk starts to feel better. We love our cats.

Kona had a week long episode of puking and some days not eating, I had to give cerenia and mirataz. Still babying her some, but she's coming out of it, mostly back to normal other than her numbers suck... I think she's due for a B12 shot.

Take care!

Thanks, Jason. Yes, we love our fur babies deeply and it hurts deeply when they're hurting.

We started Ondansetron yesterday. Mirta never opened his appetite. I tried many times before so this time when the vet suggested I didn't take it.

At least he's eating and not vomiting anymore so I hope he'll pick up with every day a bit more.

Love to you and sweet Kona:bighug::bighug::bighug:
