Nice start to day 8!

Quick update on the itching/biting fur situation. He’s been on Zyrtec for a week or so and it’s hard to tell, but I do think it’s helping. Still don’t know the root cause but I’m glad to have something at least.

With that being the case, that’s got me thinking about a food change again for the phosphorus levels. Maybe I can get him to eat a non-novel protein that is at least lower in phos to help in that area.

Or maybe I should stop feeling like I need to “work” on something and just let him live…

Have a great day! - Tim

looking good Pookey! Way to go with him Tim. I wonder what it is that helps them bring the numbers down further once the insulin stops?

Thanks Eamon! It is super interesting… I had this whole thing written up, but I’ll save that for another time. I just wonder if there’s any legitimacy for certain cats to decrease the dose when traditionally you might think to increase. Or if you and I were just the lucky edge cases.

I am so glad he's cruising right along and the Zyretec is helping.

It's my second job haha always trying to figure something out or fix something! I took Tanya's food list and put it in Peteys SS and added some conditional color coding might help you narrow down some options. I am all for preventative! The novel protein is proving challenging!

We just want the best for them. You’re doing a great job for Petey :bighug: did you see the cat in the news that is 30 years old? That’s going ours and everyone’s kitties here :)
