Well, we made it to day 14! AMBG's have been pretty consistent, but we have had quite a bit of variability in the PMBG due to changes in dinnertime, diet, and the unauthorized pre-test kibbles... I think we have enough data to say the the pancreas is working, but I would like to continue to monitor (at least at night) while we see how the still recent diet changes affect BG. We now have Weruva pates in rotation with Fancy Feast and have replaced PowerCat kibbles with Young Again kibbles.
I am hopeful that as we increase the ratio of wet food to dry that we'll see Kobe's BG go down a little more.
Can we post occasional updates here in the Lantus/ Levemir/ Biosimilars Forum? Or is that not done? I'm thinking once a month?
We are so grateful for the support from this forum. We were so lost. We thought we were going to have to say goodbye to Kobe. But today he is energetic, talkative, playful, and affectionate again. He "runs" on a treadmill! Thank you for helping us.
