Happy Easter!

We had a good run yesterday and he gradually headed down again all night... any thoughts on that pattern of decreasing all night?

Hope everyone has a great, relaxing day surrounded by love, faith/spirituality, and good food!

Been saving this one for today. Petey and his lavender filled bunny.

Omg isn't he just the sweetest with his bunny :joyful:
It looks like Petey and Binx are playing at the same game again... down all night, up all day! Bouncing is the guess, but when does it end :arghh:
Hope Petey gets used to those nice low numbers soon. Have a great day and happy easter, Laurie :cat:

You too, Briana. :bighug:

3u was still too much for Petey. Just seems strange to not have a "nadir" the last couple night cycles... isn't that a typical pattern for a bounce breaking cycle?

Looks like Binx might be working towards another increase. Hope he gets his break-through dose soon. Did the vet mention a possibility of pain? I think better pain management is what is helping Petey and possibly the 2% lower carb food.

That's my understanding - if the nadir is basically pre-shot, but maybe it's a cycle of bouncing, breaking bounce, etc. I'm still trying to learn everything, Binx isn't super consistent.

Yea, I think at least another increase - but he feels close to something good (anti-jinx). I'll bring up pain management to my vet, it's just that Binx doesn't exhibit any signs, so I'm not sure what's going on in his body. Waiting to hear about the hyperthyroidism first and then we'll explore other possibilities. Glad to hear the pain management is helping Petey!

Hi Laurie! Happy Easter! Petey is adorable with his lavender bunny! I agree with Briana, it looks like a slow bounce-breaking cycle to me. It's a fairly flat one, which is good, I suppose. Perhaps that decrease is holding him a bit higher/flatter? That's my guess. He sure saw some great numbers yesterday, despite that lime. I hope he enjoys a nice cycle today, and that this dose will let him get back into the greens soon.

Happy Easter! Hope you're enjoying your day. :bighug:

It is the pattern of a bounce clearing cycle, as I've heard described, but I'm not sure where the bounce was.... o_O

Also just throwing this out there, I will need some quick guidance tomorrow morning, as I can get a +2.5 test and snack in, and then I will not be home to monitor until +7 at the earliest.

He began rising at yesterday's a.m. cycle +7, which was probably a combination of a response to the carb manipulation coupled with the fact that he was losing duration on the dose toward the end of the cycle, but then he bounced up at his PS to the lemons. I see that as the bounce? Does that make sense? And he has slowly been breaking that bounce since then.

Oh, goodness, yes, especially given the fact that he's thrown two AMPS greens recently, I can understand your concerns. I should be on here, but if I'm not, I know others will be. Put up your "?" as soon as you see things might be problematic. Do you use a timed feeder?

Yes that makes sense, thank you.

Will do. Hoping others will see this tonight too and if available in the morning will check in just before 6AM EST tomorrow.

I keep telling myself I need to get him using the feeder before we really need it, so yes I have one but he is not likely to use it tomorrow. I've been leaving food out before bed the last couple nights and he's not even getting that cause he's just used to me in the equation.

We have a feeder but don't use it either . Thankfully, though, Jude is a grazer. If you leave MC food out, do you think Petey will graze it?

Oh my Petey is so adorable with his bunny! I love this picture, Laurie. Happy Easter.
Good luck tomorrow and do leave him some carbs when you are gone. Hoping he will use them If he needs to.

I use a timed feeder for Ivy’s wet food every day. I began using it a long time ago so she would get used to using it, even when I’m home. She normally eats her snacks from it with no problem.
Maybe you could set it up and use it so it becomes routine for Petey?

Good luck with the decrease and hope you have a calm night :bighug::cat::bighug:

Thank you, Staci. The auto feeder use is going to start on Tuesday, it'll be one less thing to worry about, just gotta do it. :bighug:
