Good morning friends! I hope you all had a safe and restful weekend. I forgot to post yesterday but it was a pretty uneventful day. Last night I could tell he was trying to drop all night so I gave a little MC food early in the cycle to slow it down. Of course now this morning it's a chore to get him to eat his regular food because all he wants is the MC :joyful:

If he drops again today I'm probably going to let him so he'll earn a reduction. I've seen references to back-to-back reductions before--can someone explain to me what they are?

Another reduction tonight! Which I'm glad for because the 6.25 is an annoying dose. I should probably get some calipers.

I gave him a little MC food just now.

The MC food doesnt appear to be helping much, he's still dropping. Should I give HC food or mix some karo syrup in with his LC food?

Hi Jess, congratulations on the rejection you were hoping for. Just be aware, the next couple cycles may still be influenced by the larger Depot so just keep your eye on his numbers after you reduce his dose tonight.
I do Love using my calipers. I think it makes so much sense because if for some reason the syringes are mismarked, then you’re really giving wonky dosing and you’re not being consistent, and there’s no way you would know that.

I hope Charlie has a calm, not too turbulent, rest of his cycle and a calm night ahead :bighug::cat::bighug:

Thank you! I agree re: the calipers. His new box of needles is different (same brand though, they clearly changed something without telling customers) and I don't trust that they didn't mess with something that would affect dosing. Can you recommend what type of calipers you have and where you got them? And possibly a tutorial or thread on here about how to use them? I don't know where to start.

They only are something that is for people following TR for dosing. With SLGS, you reduce "immediately", whenever they go under the reduction point. The idea is that the depot influences 4-6 cycles after a reduction, so a reduction earned closely after another one could be due to the depot, not the current dose. But SLGS is more cautious, so you take the reduction.

No, he's not in any danger at this point, you don't need HC. He seems to nadir lately around +5 so almost there, but it looks like he drops a little bit until he gets there. Which is normal.

Ah, thank you so much for the explanation! I had gotten the impression that it's not a great idea to do them so I thought I'd ask.

He finally started going back up, and just in time too--he's getting really annoyed with me poking him today haha. I noticed he's been nadiring around +5 lately too. I'm happy about that.

Thanks for the link. I'll do some reading now.

Here is a link to what I have and I do like them. I bought them on Amazon.
I know they make shorter ones than I bought. I think a 4 inch would be shorter and just fine. Mine is a little long, but I’m used to working with it.

Perfect, thanks so much Staci! I really appreciate it. Trying to find something online nowadays when you don't know what you're looking for can be such a timesink haha
