4/21 Egon PMPS 127 +3 286 AMPS 302

Sorry no one got to you earlier, but we have a few conventions for posting that make it easier for people to respond to you. Specifically on how we format the subject lines. The guidelines are listed in here: POSTING GUIDELINES PLEASE READ It's a very busy forum so these conventions allow those of us helping out to get to everyone.

To answer your question on dose, when following SGLS, you are looking for a dose that gets him into nadirs in the 90-149 range. I see a few times in the 120's so I think he's there now. I'm a little worried that he's gone even lower, especially on yesterday with the 125 and 127 preshots, followed by a bounce. I expect that yesterday he was definitely lower during the day. If you see a day with a lower preshot, it's a good idea to leave food out for him to keep himself safe, if you are not able to monitor that day.

Here is the link to the posts on the last day you posted here: SLGS vs TR and Egon Curve from 4/15. One of our guidelines as per above is just one post a day, to keep the daily number of posts down. Thank you!

Sorry! I have reviewed the posting guidelines and will be better at following the rules going forward.

Oh dear.... I was so fixated on the looking for a number below 90 I forgot about not shooting below 150. There is just so much info here. I have this SLGS info page printed and will review it a few more times. So now I just ride the bounce at the current dose and and wait to see a decrease again?

His PMPS is now 173. So… I guess I’ll just give him 25% of the normal 4.75u which is basically 1 unit and see what happens? Then I’m guessing the following shot tomorrow morning should be reduced by .25 if it’s in the correct range above 200 pre-shot even though I didn’t test a number below 90 mg/dl, right? I just assume there was probably a 90 in there?

People following SLGS can shoot under 150, when they have the data to do so. You can shoot as low as 90. The first few times, it's recommended that you shoot those lower numbers when you are able to monitor that cycle closely.

Another option with a lower preshot, is to stall, which means to wait 20-30 minutes without feeding, and see if he comes up over 200, then shoot.

We don't assume a number we didn't see. Some cats will have a lovely flat blue cycle. However, if you find yourself having to skip or shoot lower doses more than once on a dose, you could lower the dose by 0.25 units so you don't have to skip or reduce the dose.

Can you get a +2 tonight? Looks like he was sliding down all day (breaking that bounce), and it would be good to see he's stopped the slide.

Sounds like in this case, stalling might have seen him go high enough you could have given the full shot.

I agree that you don't want to shoot the rest this late.
