Hey. Thanks for responding. He was this low two days ago but then went through the roof.
We increased the dose then and other than that, this is a first. Well, lying, he was 81 once
    and no shot was given.
Maybe I'll retest him after he eats to see where it is. Then I can shoot if it hasn't dropped more?
I hope I'm making sense...up every two hours testing Blue and he's in blue all night...I'm
    excited but exhausted. :coffee:

Unfortunately I'm not qualified to give an opinion on this.

Well I HAVE one lol but it would be unethical to post it.:p

I anxiously await a response ( to see if my thoughts are correct...which BTW they rarely are.)

If you haven't fed him yet, don't. That way, the re-test will give you a non-food-influenced view of which direction he's heading.

If you have fed, we might be able to take that into account...

Oh no, I did feed. Damnit I knew that didn't I?
    I retested and he's up a little 154. I haven't given a shot yet.

No problem! Given the night you guys had, you might end up skipping anyway to give yourself a break, it's just a shame to lose momentum.

To clarify just what that 154 means, a couple questions. How long between:

    first test and second test
    food and second test

I tested at 9:05 and fed maybe 9:30 and retested maybe 9:45.
I'm guessing at this but seems pretty close.
    I hate not shooting.

Looking at your spreadsheet, you've shot a 197 and a 173, so this would be a natural progression downward. He looks like he's enjoying hanging out in blues right now between last night and this morning, so shooting may mean that he continues to do so.

That said, you were up all night last night, so you may want to pick another day to shoot in the 150 or lower range for the first time. With the lantus depot, there's no guarantee of a quiet day even with a skip, but it will probably increase the chances of you getting a solid nap in.

If you do shoot, are you well supplied with strips, HC food, etc?

Adding: this is a safe number to shoot for him, it's just a question of how you feel about it today after being up last night.

Yes, I have plenty of supplies and hc food.
I think I should shoot. I'd hate to not and end up starting
all over. I can take a nap and will keep a close watch over him.
Should I test every couple of hours or more?

Get at least one early test, +2 or so (could even do a +1 if you are nervous) to get an idea what he's planning today, and then go from there. If he zooms up, you can ease off and get some rest.

We are still in the blue and I am amazed. This has never happened. I might really freak out
if he reaches green and stays there. I will check him again in another hour or so.
Thanks for the help this morning.

He's into yellow but still only 218 +6. He was in good numbers for a long time.
It's so exciting to see this. I hope it will continue.

Typical cat. I turn my back for a few minutes and then he decides to go swimming!

Really glad to see Blue in a much better range now. Don't know who I'm happier for: Blue or you, Patty! :cat:

Sorry I've been AWOL, but with Nan here you could not have been in better hands.

Hey you. I hope all is well with you.
I kind of freaked, it was so shocking to have him consistent for that many hours. I was scared and thrilled.
I'm about to test again to see where he is.
Yes, many thanks for Jeane and Nan for being around. I still forgot to not feed. Gosh you’d think I would have remembered that. :banghead:

No problem. I was able to get some help. Hope all is well.

Blue is back up to 362 but he was last night as well. I guess I should check him midway?

I think you could test one more time and then call it a night.
