Day 2 OTJ trial

AMBG 6am
BG 5.7 (102) fed MM
WCR: Luna eating well, nappy purry and playful. Waiting on that Magical Poop heee heee!!
Luna had a nice 4.1 (73) early this morning at +33(+9) had his MM snack and went back to napping.
We're happy with this little blue, and I suppose I could test again at +39(+3) :lol:

By the way - is it me or LL just party central with so many happy-purry and healthy kitties doing so well, kitties on countdown and kitties going for a trip to the falls? :mrgreen: hmmm....things that make ya go "hmmm"
Just goes to show ya how amazing our support system is in LL ;-)
 
Note to self: get that knitting package together quick for Ronnie!

Way to go Luna! What a lovely shade of blue this morn.
Now, don't you worry your ears off; we will do all we can to distract her from that little testing addiction your bean has.
Maybe if you get a chance you can get ahold of the tester, and either roll it under something or maybe pick up in your mouth and hide it someplace. :lol:

It's good to talk about it Ronnie...talking about helps you and others. Tell us about your thoughts...
once you started, you just couldn't stop? You thought about it all day long? They suggest replacing an old habit with a
new one....to take your mind off that which you don't want to do anymore.
so, what can you do once an hour for 24 hours? hmmmmm....why not take your own temperature once each hour and keep a
SS on it....bake a cake or two, take up crocheting or knitting...play a computer game?

Did you do a +3 ???? maybe he dropped .... :shock:

Did you hear the joke about the kitty who went OTJ....
but his Bean died...

Ronnie, the obsessive testing is done because we are nervous, want to know their bg at any given time, and because we MUST monitor them--
Just think how nice it will be NOT TO WORRY about that!!! :-D --Old habits die hard, but this is for a wonderous thing!! Day 2 & counting--You can always test an orange, it never fights you off :lol: :lol: :lol: HUGS~!

Luna was a pain in my butt this morning, maybe too many parties this week..I wonder what Matty was serving last nite?
Serious whine whine whine this morning, gimme more, I want more, I need more...whine whine whine...so I gave in,,,

and yea I tested at 3 hours later just to make sure...and he's taking his-sweet-food spike-time cat(2)_steam

finally resting comfortably, dreaming of what he's gonna wear to Porky's party today :lol:
 
Awww, Ronnie don't worry about your addiction. There are good clinics that cater to test-a-holics, we'll try to get you a recommendation, hee, hee.

Seriously, it is fine to see what's up with his BGs because I know after everything you've been through, you almost can't believe Luna will be insulin free. ...you are just checking, right? I tested a lot the first few days too, then let it go (I had to go out of town and that ended that!) Maybe you should do that, take a two day trip to break the habit. Or not. You aren't hurting anything.

But a year from now if you are still checking BGs every hour, then seriously we need to intervene. LOL!! :lol:

I thought Beans were only allowed to drop off the kitties and leave them to party alone......
hmmmm...chocolate is the only distraction that I know of for Ronnie...and she thinks about it all the time... LOLOLOL

Can I tell you a secret? Shhh only if you promise not to tell anyone...OK?

I used to be afraid to leave the house when Maui was on insulin. I was so concerned that something bad would happen to her. Of course, all Maui wanted to do was nap and I was interrupting said napis time.

I wasn't a test aholic, but I did test. Once she went OTJ - I stopped testing. No once a week, or twice a week, or once a month, nothing. I just stopped and went cold turkey. No more tests.

In the 7 months she's been OTJ - I've tested her twice! That's it's, just twice. Once because I saw her drinking water, can you imagine and the other because she was just there and I thought, well why not, let's see what this baby says.

So, don't tell my secret.....OK.

Now, I'm going to google a rehab place for testaholics and see if they can accommodate you..... :lol:

The only bean that gets to go to the party is Roving Reporter Alphabean! He reports back for all the beans to know what's going on and of course to get the felines in all kinds of trouble!

Yippee for day 2. So happy for you guys.
It's like reading a great suspense novel. Not sure if our concern is more for Luna and being so great
or our worry for Ronnie and that urge to test.

Come move over to Montreal. You can be my mentor and test Max till your heart's content.

Oh Ronnie,

this is the great meter made in the sky calling to you...guess what came in the mail today (ok so far what came in my mom's mail)....

Can you guess, can you contain your excitement....Not sure if I should tell you or not, considering the circumstances....but a nice pretty purple OTU mini finally, finally arrived! hopefully I'll get one or three in today's mail too!

But now the big question is, do I send it now or wait until after the trial? If I send it now, you just may be too tempted to use it! IF for no other reason then it's new and purple!!!!!


Hmmm what to do.....hey beans what do you think?????

Ronnie...see a new business in your future...Pricker Police, or Stick'em Staff or Testing Titan,,,you can travel the globe with Luna testing reluctant DCs, lecturing on the wonders of LL and how to have your cat produce magical poos.

gonna make this quick cuz potatoes are cooking

WCR: Luna doing well, serious munchies this morning, playful, I even video taped him going ga-ga over his catnip toys,,,napped or the afternoon and eating well this evening.

I just wanted to say how proud I am of both you and Luna! You have both worked so hard for this. I really hope it sticks.

do you think we should send you a stuffed animal to poke for a while to help your withdrawal? :-D
