Link to yesterday

Spacey is more restless today than yesterday.
Around +3.5 she was searching for food, so I threw a lot of hc treats in her. She didn't want the available food.
Later on she wanted more.
+4=61 with all the treats. I have no idea whether to give her any insulin this evening.

Furthermore:
- poo - check
- pee - check (outside the litterbox though, guess her UTI is returning, going to the vet with her next week for AB injection)
- eat - check
- walking - check
- talking - check
- grooming - check
- purring - check
- sleeping - double check

Re: 01/30 Spacey AMPS=118, +4=61

Looks great Ella! A 61 isn't too low so it's not nessisary to fill her up with anything, just put down her normal meals and she will eat if she's hungry. As far as evening you have to wait and see. Your at the last dose before OTJ, usually you want to hold this as long as possible to ensure the pancreas is strong enough. As you can see her Preshots are still over 100 which means her pancreas isn't quite capable yet of doing all the work on it's own, that tiny drop of Lantus is helping to manage the glucose in her food. This last dose should be held untill 1. even with that drop kitty goes below 50 (at least 2x) or 2. you have 1 week of numbers between 50 and 100 (an occasional >100 is ok) then you can begin your OTJ trial. The blue Preshots are usually the last thing to come down.

Thanks Monique for explaining.
I was wondering about how to precede.
She is so fine today... even walking without any painkillers. I'm so happy. I'm getting more meds than her at the moment.

I did give the 0.1 IE again this evening. But I'm afraid it was bit less than this morning. I'm still not used to this micro dosing. I hope I don't screw it up too much for her with sometimes 0.1+ and then 0.1-.
You're right about the 61. Still not sure about the nadir. Sometimes it's +3 and sometimes +6. That's why I gave some stuff.
And she was really really restless, that's totally unlike her. And then I get really really nervous.

Well... still enough possibilities to learn.

Pretty cool stuff happening here with Spacey!

Do u by any chance offer a snack for Spacey to have access to around +9, both cycles?
I say that cuz nearing the end here (antijinx) can help keep the blue preshot number down.

Very exciting to see her doing so well Ella! :thumbup

looking good!

Ronnie is right, if Spacey's pancreas is working part-time, then spreading the meals out into multiple smaller ones can help bring the numbers down. For Ronnie's cat, and several others, feeding a snack around +10 seems to stimulate the pancreas so they don't see as much of a rise at PS time.
