Finally the new test strips have arrived. I was shooting Lantus blind the last few days. Fortunately Spacey's dose is very low. Felt comfortable to shoot 0.1 without knowing her #'s.

I thinks he is doing very well.
She is very vocal, demanding foot, walking a bit more the last couple of day's as well. She is also not all the time on her sickbed aka my lounge. She also started to drink less, I guess her drinking a lot was related to her bladder infection after all.
Since yesterday she is even climbing on my lap again so now and then. She hasn't done that for months.

Sounds like she is feeling better. Now that you have some new strips, you can see what her numbers are doing and hopefully Spacey will be counting down to OTJ very soon. At this point you are looking for about a week of all greens. You don't need to test 100 times a day. Just test your Preshots and like 1x during each cycle, mix it up a bit. If you get a good green then be happy. if you see blues keep going and test another time to see if it goes back to green before shot time. Once you have some days of mostly green, you can start OTJ trial. Most people just test at what would be shot time (AM & PM) if it's green you just wait till the next 12 hours. If you get a higher number say at AMPS then feed her like normal and wait 3 hours or so and test again, usually they will be back in the green. Once 14 days with no insulin and mostly greens we have a party!!!!!

Just to clarify, what Monique described is an OTJ trial. You still need to be testing since Spacey is not yet at the point of an OTJ trial.

Spacey is eating more in between meals the last couple of day's. Unfortunately I couldn't test.
Anyhow, keep assured I test until I can't get any more blood of her. Lol...

So glad to see Spacey doing so well. Thanks for stopping by to see Tess too. Looks like both if them want to get their BGs low so we will stop sticking their ears. :lol:
 
I think so too Ann. Spacey doesn't like being poked at all anymore. She is really struggling to get free now every time I wanne test.
