HI +10.25

J.D. was a purring machine while laying on me last night. He must hate me with all the syringing and pushing pills, and I took his temperature this morning, and missed the first time. He is 95.9 on the outside ;-) and 100.5 on the the inside.

I have to run.

Please send eating and tummy feel better vines to J.D.
I don't think I can come home at lunch to give him bupe, so I hope he is okay.

Off to tbp.

Sending tons of vines and prayers....love that he purred up a storm with snuggles!

I'm glad J.D. was purring so much last night. Adding more prayers for J.D.'s tummy and appy.

Re: 08/11 J.D. PMPS 237

J.D. seemed like he felt better before he ate.
I gave him Pepcid and insulin at PMPS (6:00pm).
Started syringing 24ml of MaxCal at +0.25 (6:15pm) and by the time I was done with that at 6:25pm, I gave two 50mg pills of Flagyl with his B12 and Ondansetron at +0.25 (6:25pm).
At +0.75 (6:49pm) he got his Bupe, and I am about to give him his Miralax now at +1.

Question: I usually go to bed earlier, but if I give him his SEB at +3 (9:00pm) that would be 2 hours after his last "med/supplement", would that be okay?

After he eats, he acts like his tummy hurts. That is the pancreatitis, I think. I called his regular vet today to ask when I can start the Flagyl and she had her vet. tech. call me back to say to start it right away.
It will help with anti-inflammatory, and antibiotics (I think).

His 2 pills of Flagyl are to be given BID, so I guess all I can do is get up at midnight to give him probiotics during weekdays. On weekends, I can give probiotics at noon and midnight.

Time for Miralax and then a walk.

i don't know much about slippery elm bark.

i'd think twice a day for the flagyl would be ok for while you are awake so you wouldn't have to get up to give it to him. Perhaps you could do 6am and 6pm - unless you are trying to separate it from his shot times?

I think the timing of the SEB is fine, although i give it to Tess before he preshot meal so she will eat well. I mix the probiotics right into her food. I give her other supplements a couple hours after her preshot meals, mixed in pumpkin and syringed. She doesn't like all that stuff in her fuds, nor does she care for the pumpkin. So, two birds w/ one stone and it's done. She gets a freeze dried duck breast treat after to get rid of the taste!

Right now I am getting up at 4:00am to give him the SEB to coat his tummy and then he gets his meds around 6:30am.
So, that's 2+ hours between SEB and meds. AMPS is 6:00am and I am out the door at 7:30am.

I could give him the SEB right when I get home at 6:00pm. Give him his insulin. And syringe his food, but I like to give him his Bupe as soon as I can when I get home. Does Bupe interfere much with SEB?
I could then give him his meds/supplements at 8:00pm or so, but that would work for the Flagyl if it is supposed to be given every 12 hours, then if he gets it at 6:30am (or even 7:00am), I couldn't really give him his next dose until like after 8:00pm, because of the waiting for the SEB, right?

I'm going to try to make those beef marrow bones tonight. I better get busy, as it's almost bed time.
