Yesterday’s Condo
Well, will you look at that! That little rascal tricked me with completely FLAT numbers after pm shot so I would go to bed, then she just waddled her way down into the yellows for HER bedtime.
I knew something was up because Shadoe was sleeping on my pillow when I woke and that is something she has not done in a very long time.
When I first brought her home from the pet store, every nite that little 6week old kitten would climb up on the bed and lie right on top of my head, every single night. I was trained quickly NOT to move or I would get the claws in my scalp, Shadoe holding on.
Now she is a bit too big to lie on my head, so now she lies around it and kicks me in the head if I am taking up too much pillow. I had to go and get some king size pillows just so |I would get a piece! This return to an old habit is such a pleasure to see.
Today, she had some chicken pieces to tide her over till am shot. She did come into the kitchen doorway to politely ask for more, I think Putty may have given her some polite lessons, so she got a few more pieces. For food today, she has some Wellness Core chicken and some Authority turkey from yesterday. I am not using the feeder today because if she needs to eat if low, I don't want her going to an empty feeder slot.
Today we did not give any pepcide because she does not seem to be nauseous in the least, if I am to judge by her appetite and lack of vomit. I did put a 0.1 squeeze of the pain med codeine onto the inside of ears; I put half in each so she would not feel lopsided. I know, weird logic I have but the instructions said I could.
Those fluids must have kicked in later in the nite for her to be down into the yellows at +10 but she was coming up by amps. I think I will get a +10 each morn to be sure she is on her way up by amps as I am at work during the week. I'll leave the increase till I am home and can monitor better. With the fluids and her going low at nite, I say better safe than sorry. Maybe I'll go with Friday for the dose increase.
On that cheery note, I am off to work.
Booboo's running all over and barking at me; no idea why, but she always yells at me for no reason - crazy cat.
Shadoe is sitting nicely on the sofa chair enjoying her codeine and insulin, I am sure.
