Good evening,

tonight I did the suggested increase to 3.5 in the hope, that Binie sees longer and lower blues. Thank you again @Wendy&Neko for checking on us! :bighug::bighug::bighug:

She was doing well during the day and her appetite came back. The urine analysis is not ready yet because they found mixed flora again, which means that she has more than one bacteria in her bladder. I guess we are dealing with the same ones they found in December. In a few days we know more.

In the evening she scared me and I am still concerned. She got up from the couch and was walking two steps and then was sitting on the ground licking herself everywhere. Her hind legs looked wobbly but she is walking kind of normal (she has spondylosis) again. But in waves she starts to lick herself which is something I have already seen in her on another antibiotic. Some antibiotics have itchy skin as a side effect. I hope this doesn't mean, she can not take the Pradofloxacin anymore, as we are running out of options. I will write to the vet in the morning. Her bg is very high tonight, which might be because she feels not good or ndw.

Always something new....

I hope everyone has a relaxed and safe day! :bighug::bighug::bighug:

Hi Heike, I’m hoping by now you and Binie are sleeping and you are both feeling well. I’m sorry sorry to hear Binie had a reaction of some sort to her meds perhaps.

I really hope there’s no problems with her hind legs. We are sending prayers for her to feel back to her normal self by tomorrow.

I do hope she’s able to continue with her antibiotics so you can get some of the uti issues controlled. Poor sweet Binie.
She’s such a trooper and you both work so hard for her to feel well.

Ivy and I send you both lots of love and hugs and wishes for a better day tomorrow :bighug::kiss::bighug::kiss::bighug::kiss:

Besides the antibiotics is there anything else new food wise? Or what was used to clean her up after her diarrhea—could she have allergies to that?

I hope this is nothing serious and that she can stay on the antibiotics or at least that she’s been on them long enough to have cleared things up.

keeping you both in my prayers,
Colleen

Hi Heike. Hoping by the time you read this in the morning that Binie is feeling better and that it was just a bit of a hiccup. Could it be just a bit of dry skin with the heat on in the winter? We had to put a humidifier in our bed room because it’s so dry. Hugs..
