Hooray for Moses' dose decrease! party_cat

I was a little more careful with the needle injection during this morning's AMPS. He kinda watched me closely, just to make sure, but it didn't seem to cause him any pain today. :smile: I just got home, and he didn't eat as much breakfast as I'd hope for. He seems quite the sleepy boy today. That's all I've noticed for the past 15 min, lol.

I would really like to give him more attention and cuddle time today. I don't want our relationship to be only about glucose control! I plan on spending some good time w/Moses and some TLC. :-D

Thanks for the support everybody, it makes us feel so good! I'm going to relax on the testing today, since his HC from last night boosted his levels and I've been testing him like crazy during these past 3 exciting days. I say 1 day off is good. Moses just asked for 2, lol.

And I'm off tomorrow! So I can check out his new numbers with his dose decrease :-D

Ha! :lol: Yes. I think the fact that his right ear is completely empty of blood might be a good signal for a break. It's like the vein is in sleep mode and disappeared. Even though it's still Hulky on his right!

I hope someone else will be around to help too. I have never walked anyone through this before....although I
have been through it myself It's important to see if it's a rising number of if he is going lower without any food influence.

How long is it until your normal shot time and do you have much leeway in the mornings....
cause if you delay you will have to move the shot time later in the morning too to leave the 12 hours in between....
you can adjust it in 15 minute increments to get back on schedule though...
well, maybe he will be on the rise in 10 minutes and you won't be shooting late...
let's see how he is doing....just post the new umber whenever you have it, k? :mrgreen:

Alright so it went up 2 points in 15 minutes. So it's not lowering which is good. What do you say? Shoot .75u (like this morning's AMPS) with LC dinner? Or HC dinner? Stall?

I'll answer your other questions in my next post, so update will get out there.

can you monitor tonight?

I wouldn't feed HC for dinner, regular food should do but keep the HC/MC around in case it is needed later. Since Moses already got a dose reduction today, he doesn't need to drop low tonight.

and you WILL test him at +1 and like last night...make sure he is going up. eight?

It was 30 minutes ago. I still haven't shot.

I'm off work tomorrow so I'll be okay. I'll probably need to adjust our test/inject routine a bit earlier. B/c that's usually the last thing I do before I head out the door. And that might not be safe one day, soon b/c I'd have no time to stall. Eventually I'll need move us up, maybe an hour? *Typically is that good, to have a 1 hour stall window?

There will be a little bit of rearranging injection times coming up. Just in time for February!

exactly, this cycle will be easier than last night even though the number is lower. Probably he'll go up from here, and if he doesn't then we can HC early on since he doesn't need to earn another reduction.

I was going to my kayak class tonight :sad:

We shall see. I don't need to test again right? Since I just did it 15 minutes ago and it's rising?

should be fine to shoot w/o testing again. Just get a +1.

What time is your class? If you test before you leave and he's already zooming, you can go.

Also when & if you go out, leave out lots of food for him, so if he does drop, he will have food available..

My class begins in 15 minutes, but it's pretty open. Now I can get a test in 45 minutes, with my gear on and ready to go. If he's zooming then I'll go... we'll see what the numbers are then :-D

I am a little concerned about his eating anxiety lately. (from former food/injection associations)

I sat his dinner food bowl out with me and he's really eating nicely, now. It's good to see him chomping. We'll see what his +1 number is, coming up, and that will determine what I might leave out if I go...

Ha, Roni & Moonie! My kayak class is in a heated indoor pool :lol:

It's 32* here and for Texans, that's freezing cold weather! LOL. Literally, everybody's like "Don't go driving!!!! b/c there's a light rain.

I'm not sure how comfortable I feel heading out tonight, since he's only at 115 right now...

I only have a 45 minutes of my class left anyways... hmmm

On 1/27 at his +1 he he was 102 and dropped 34 points. So he could be at 68 in one hour, and I might not be here to coax him to eat.

I don't like it, I think I should stay, what do you think?

Plus I kinda want at least an hour of class and I missed it, I can go next Friday.

ya, Moses and I are just beginning to get the swing or things. dancing_cat I don't possibly see anything stressful happening tonight, but since we just began this PMPS thing, I'd like to be home to monitor him.

Now I love my cat and I still need a social life. But for this wild week (these past 3 nights particularly) I think this is the best choice to stay at home. I'll go rent a movie. And prick him later :-D

B/t/w, his injections went well this morning and tonight, total blessing. Really smooth and I don't think he noticed the one tonight at all. Makes me happy, I want him eating in comfort!
