Blue number again this morning but he came back down nicely.

WCR: He's been running around acting like a crazy man this morning. Since he's been OTJ he's been much more active and seems overall much happier. Very playful most days and loves to snuggle more. No complaints at all about how he's doing.

CD - thank you so much for the poem. I will recite that to him at pokus time and see if we can get some better numbers :-D

Morning Lynee...just stopped by for some ~O) and I see you have already had yours....
Happy Day 10 to you and Max!!! He is doing so well!!!
Hope your neighbor will not be using his pistol today.

(My Raja gets really freaked with noises too...lawnmowers and garbage trucks...she races inside and goes to her closet to hide.
During her OTJ trial..maybe it was her first one? Or maybe it was her second one...don't remember...there was a fishing tournament kick-off party down the canal. They were using the loud speaker and boy, the man's voice went on and on from 5pm till about 10:30 or so. It sounded as if it was coming from every direction too...I closed all the windows but you could still hear it and Raja was terrified. her numbers always go up under stress. )

Max seems to like 106...but he also likes to come down from there like a good kitty that he is!

HAPPY DAY 10 Lynee and Max!!

Re: 1/31 Max PMBG 95 OTJ Trial Day 10

We got green again dancing_cat dancing_cat dancing_cat Albiet a higher green number but still green nonetheless and 10 days without insulin so I am not complaining one single bit.

WCR: He's been snuggled up with DH today watching some tv. Spent some time playing with the kittens and doing his slide on the kitchen rugs. He spent about 15 minutes very politely begging DH for a lick of frosting off a piece of cake he was eating. After he was done eating the cake he sat the plate on the coffee table and we amusingly watched Max for about 30 minutes trying to sneak a paw into the frosting to take himself a lick. When we he realized we were watching him, he sat there looking all innocent as if he wasn't trying to do it. He had his dinner and is now taking a little napus on the bed. Getting rested up for the big day.

I'm assuming that we are still okay even though he's still throwing blues at me at Day 10. I do have one question though that I've never noticed in anybody's OTJ posts - after he is officially OTJ (ANTIJINX) what are we looking for when I test once a week? If I test and get a blue number, do I continue to carry on as I have been and feed then retest in about 3-4 hours? Also, what number constitutes a possible start back up in insulin (I guess I'm just wondering how high he has to be before we start to think that he might have to go back on it?) Or is it if he just doesn't bring himself back down into green? Just want to make sure I'm all-knowing of what to expect and what to watch for after all of this.

Hi Lynee,,,nice PMBG tonight!

I'll tell u what I did...cuz we know our cats, and every cat is different, yadda, yadda, yadda.... ....we know when they're having an "off" day,
I was told put it all away, and do a random test say once a week, once a month, and slowly you forget about it...I know Luna, I know when he's not feeling good or he's really upset, so I will test him...if there was some wicked crazy weather and he's hiding, I'll test him...you know what I mean?

Luckily for me - I feel I am cured. I don't even know where I left the meter last!

Happy Day 10 Lynee and Max...sounds like it was a wonderful day in your household...snuggles and laughs and games, and sneaky cake frosting stuff. I wish I could answer your questions, but Spot is not yet at the point where I have to start thinking about OTJ, but I'm sure you will figure it out. Max is doing well...low blues are ok and being able to bring yourself back to the greens is awesome!
Hope you guys enjoy your evening.
