typical morning. sooo cold in the apt. I'm going to get plastic for the windows this weekend.

the butt didn't look as red, but still looks like it could use a cleaning. I will work on that over the weekend, and also get some miralax (not even sure if she's constipated) but i might try a little just in case.) That's just the same stuff you get in a regular drugstore right? I'm guessing its fine for cats since lots here use it.

The Miralax--available in all drug stores, will soften the poops, as the stuffed up anal glands come from hard stools being forced out & the sacs getting glooped up!!--Barb, it worked over here & they both had the redness--OK now--I'm still giving them 1/8th tsp with food & poops are delightful :shock: :shock: :shock: Can I really be saying this??
Also cleaning with warm compress also helps--Are we the Best momma beans is the world or what??? confused_cat

I'm no expert on miralax, sorry.
Any way you could get 2+ spot checks in between shoots to see a bit more of the curve you think? Just saying...

i put 1/8 of a teaspoon of Miralax in her food tonight and she ate it all up. the area is not as red as it was, but it is not clean...i see her trying to clean it, but i don't know if she's reaching it. hasn't been an issue in the past. hopefully the Miralax will help. this afternoon when i came home to check her, she darted off under the bed till i left. didn't even get my spot check.

i usually get a before bed spot check, and sometimes a mid spot check, but i can't get +2's regularly as i am out the door after the shot most mornings.

she looked at me like, i'm ready to eat
so i got a test
i'm not surprised she's low
had a small dinner
now she has gone to the litter box
i will check it after
(uh oh, it has come to this...) :lol:

(not even sure if she's constipated. she is just a little messy back there and won't let me near it. not as red either)

PS. i can't figure out how to put up her picture. anyone?

Good luck with the weatherizing :-D
I also use Miralax with Pepper.. 1/8 t AM and PM. It can be dehydrating though.. sooo I put about a 1-2 TB of water in Pepper's food. Of course warm water in the winter.. lol!

Yay TGIF - this has been a looong week
LOL Ronnie...I AM a butt watcher now!

Nothing in the litterbox yet...I'll keep giving the Mirilax till i see some action.
(i forgot to add water, i'll do that next time. thanks for the tips!)
