My fur boy started out last night in the GREENS. I fed 15% carbs initially, but then he dropped further to 70, so I grabbed a higher carb can. I thought I grabbed a 20% carb, but it was 25%, so it bumped him into the mid BLUES for the rest of the night.

Tonight and tomorrow night my husband will be the tester, so I will probably leave higher carb food for Gideon since husband will only get up once after he goes to bed at +3. I am happy to say, my 17 year old son is now used to testing Gideon, and will also test before he goes to bed at +5. So, husband's middle of the night test will be either +7 or +8. The thing is, Gideon fluctuates a lot and doesn't just slowly go higher or lower through night.

Our son loves our 3 fur babies, but I never thought he would be willing to test Gideon's BG.

I bet he’s doing it both for Gideon and for you! Those night ***** have to be killers when you have long nights with Gideon too.

When a cat is considered "stable" on their dose, do they surf in the BLUE?

I mean on the appropriate dose of insulin which gives the desired BG range.

You want him to be under renal threshold. That varies from cat to cat. If he’s in blue and green you can consider him to be well controlled.
