11-Mar Maverick update

Christie & Maverick

Very Active Member
There aren’t many folks left on this forum who were around when Maverick and I first joined. Maverick has had to say goodbye to so many dear friends over the years.

Sadly, Maverick likely doesn’t have much time left, having to face a lot more challenges over and above diabetes now. The diseases are winning,

@Wendy&Neko @Sienne and Gabby (GA) @Marje and Gracie thank you for teaching me everything I know.

I’m really hoping and praying he and I will see yet a few more sunsets together. Please send healing vines.

Christie, my heart is breaking for you. You have done everything and so much more for Mav and have given him such a wonderful life. You are one of the most selfless care givers I know. I'm sending the biggest hugs and healing vines to both of you.

Oh, Christie...I'm so sorry to hear this. My crew and I are gathering and sending all the healing vines we can muster to you both and hoping that you will enjoy as much life together as possible.

Christie - I know how hard you've worked to give Mav such a great life. Sometimes, life isn't fair and doesn't give us more options. :bighug::bighug::bighug:

Sending bucket loads of west coast vines your way, hoping for many more sunsets yet. Give that stripey boy some kisses on the top of his head from me.

(((Christie))) you’ve done an incredible job caring for him during his FD and I know you are helping him fight CKD in every way you can.

Sending him much healing light and many vines. :bighug::bighug::bighug::bighug::bighug:

Christie, I am so sorry to hear this. My heart is breaking for you. I am sending healing vines your way.
I hope you two have many more sunsets together. :bighug::bighug::bighug:

I'm so sorry to hear this, Christie! Sending all the healing vines your way and the wishes for many many more sunsets together with your boy.

It sounds like you did such a wonderful job taking care of him and have shared many sunsets in that time too. :bighug::bighug::bighug:

Christie, I’ll be thinking of you and hoping that you and Maverick find a way to spend many more sunsets, and sunrises, together.

It’s so often not the diabetes that takes them. Darned those other diseases. I was here when you joined and still think back about all of the people and cats who have passed through the “halls” of FDMB over the years. Seeing posts from the old-timers is like meeting up with an old friend. I always look for a Mav update and always appreciated when you checked in on us as well. Please give Maverick a gentle scritch from me. Sending strength and positive energy your way. :bighug:

Christie, we are thinking of you and Maverick and sending huge healing vines your way:bighug::bighug::bighug::bighug::bighug:
You do such a wonderful job caring for your sweet boy. Gentle hugs and kisses to Mav and wishes for many more sunrises and sunsets together ❤️❤️❤️

My heart breaks for you, Christie. August 2017 to now -- more than 7.5 years of lovingly caring for your beautiful Maverick and managing his FD and other challenges. I hope it helps to think of how many more sunrises and sunsets he has seen because of you. :bighug::bighug::bighug:

My heart breaks for you. I know you've been a member of this group way longer than I have and it's clear you took such wonderful care of Maverick.
Along with my boys we're sending lots and lots of healing vines :bighug:❤️ :bighug:❤️ :bighug:❤️

@Christie & Maverick hey, just checking in to see how you’re doing. I’ve been peeking in on Mav’s spreadsheet periodically but have been getting a Google sign-in page recently. I hope that’s a Google glitch and not a clue that, well, you know.

Thinking of you. :bighug:
