Yesterday's Midnight Oil Condo

Thank you to all who visited our very late condo this morning. I really need a 30 hour day - 3 more hours for sleep and 3 more for getting stuff done. Although, knowing me, I'd probably only get one more hour of sleep and use the other 5 trying to accomplish things!

Is this a flat yellow cat or what?!

Perhaps fresh jus is needed. They told me the pens wouldn't be in until after 2:00 today, so I'll have to get them tomorrow. I just hope this yellow surf doesn't mean a dive tonight, 'cause I HAVE to go to bowling.

All the candy is made (I hope) and I've got to put a bunch in tins to take to bowling tonight, wrap a couple of presents and get myself laundered and presentable. No, Ella, unfortunately I can't resist sampling. I call it "quality control" ;-)   !

Appies aren't too bad, but not stellar. Minka was slow to start but eventually ate enough to make me happy. Shasha didn't want to eat at all this morning (except her hypo treats - nothing seems to keep her from eating those), so I gave her some Ondansetron and she ate a bit at lunch time. Harvey totally rejected the z/d mix and Mama finally caved and gave hims some Weruva Fowl Ball, which he inhaled. I guess I need to send his IM an e-mail and let her know I failed.

It's raining again at the moment, but I think we get a couple of days' break before the next storm after today.

My lunch is on the stove, so gotta run. Hope all are having a good Monday!

Sending healing vines to all in need and hugs to all their beans. :YMHUG: Prayers continue for Amy's DF, Lyresa's DF, Lisa's DF and Elise's DM.

I hope the new pens will make a difference for Cinco. I hope Cinco behaves and lets you enjoy bowling tonight. I'm sure everyone will love the candy. Sending good appy vines for the other kitties.

I hope the new pends got there and are now working their magic!

QC is VERY important in the kitchen! I always test at least one cookie from every tray that comes out of the oven...gotta make sure they are consistent ;-) !! Have a great time at bowling tonight!

Well if she had to be yellow at least she did it so you could go bowling in peace. Have fun. Thanks for thinking of my DM.

Thanks for visiting us, Carla, Amy and Elise.

Wow.That's flat. I don't think he's ever done this before. I'm expecting him to continue the same, but I loaded up Otto anyway. I'll get the pens in the morning and we'll try one out tomorrow night. At least the people at UCD should be happy - he's not climbing and dipping like they were worried about!

Yes, Amy. I'm big on QC. And in case you were wondering, it IS possible to get tired of chocolate. Fortunately, the feeling wears off after about 18 hours. ;-)

Thanks for the appy vines. Everyone was enjoying the snack they get before we leave for bowling. Harvey was VERY excited that it contained no z/d.

The candy was well received here at the bowling alley, as always. I give some to the cook in the snack bar. My salad was larger than usual tonight, and so was Mark's! Hmmm, maybe I need to bring him candy more often!

That is flat!!! Flat yellow.....next comes....green!!!

I think you are going to take over my title as Energeizer Bunny    "When" I was still eating chocolate, I could never get tired of it. I mean, it would take a massive overdose for me to leave it alone for a while   A "while" being a short amount of time ;-)

At our HOA party last night, my neighbors asked if I'd be making my truffles this year. Well, I was hoping to avoid it as I do not want to do QC. So I guess the true test of my ability to continue my sweets ban will be making it through the truffles without sampling. Actually....it's become personal now   I'm determined!!

Hope it's drying out there a bit. Actually, I started to type "hope you are drying out" but it made it sound like you are an alkie or something   We're supposed to get rain this week again....yes!! More reasons to cuddle in bed with cats.

Hope you had fun at bowling.

I'm rather curious about where that flat cat went tonight. Good luck on the pens tomorrow, umm, rather, later today.

I haven't overdosed on chocolate yet. At least not dark couverture chocolate. My current fav is Cacao Barry Tanzania, though a nice Valrhona comes a close second. And the only way to check the temper is to QC!

Hi fellow night owls Marje and Wendy!

We did have a good time at bowling. It was raining all the way home and is still raining. It's supposed to taper off tomorrow morning.

It's okay, Marje, I would have known what you meant (but others might not, considering how often I talk about adult beverages!).

As you can see, Cinco decided tonight was a good night to bail off the yellow floor. There is no telling if he went lower, since his nadirs move around from +3 to +7 and anywhere in between. I will check him before I go to bed. He ate every speck of food Otto offered him - well, someone did, and because he is the best at leaving no food behind, I suspect it was him.

Harvey, however, had cleaned his snack plate when we got home and he ate his entire dinner without any trouble (no z/d). He even ate seconds an hour later. I was thinking that I might have Kathy (the friend that will come over every other day while we're gone to feed him, etc.) load Otto with only z/d, and we'll leave a dispenser full of the dry z/d out for him. Maybe if there is nothing else available, he'll eat it and get used to it? Is this a bad idea? He likes the dry, so I know he'll eat that. If she finds, on her first visit, that he hasn't eaten any of the z/d, we could abandon the plan and go with "regular" food.

Minka and Sasha both ate most of their dinners. Another uneventful fluids session.

Kathy gave me a new pill shooter. I think it's one most of you use (that use shooters). It has a rubber tip, unlike my old one. It seems to work better, and no chance to scrape poor Harvey's nose again!

Marje, I will be very interested to hear if you manage to avoid QC while making those truffles. Perhap Mike will volunteer to take over that task? ;-)

Wendy, My tastes are not so sophisticated. I like Hershey's chocolate! I know, I'm a peasant.

Well, I have to go wrap some presents before my Energizer batteries run down.

If my memory is not failing me I think you gave Harvey Ondansetron earlier which might be why Harvey are so well?
