Do I shoot?

We are new to greens and I shot a 90 last time and everything went okay, but 70 is a new low for me. I did give him a small amount of LC food while taking his BG but am going to stall for 30 minute. I know the food might show a small spike though, so not sure what I should do. I also have an AlphaTrak which I'll use in 30 minutes along with the Freestyle Lite.

Hope everyone's having a great holiday! Thank you!

Please let us know what the retest is. Food usually takes about 30 minutes before showing up in the BG readings.
If you do decide to shoot, do you have a hypo kit and testing supplies? Will you be able to monitor if necessary?

Yes, I have everything but rectal glucose on hand and will be home to monitor.

Its your first time shooting green? That's quite alright. Please keep in mind that the depot may still affect the first half of the PM cycle. I'll be here for your +1/+2 test :bighug:

Thank you!! Gave him the 2 units and will get that +1/+2.

3rd time shooting green but all in the last few days and lowest so far... calling this one a BCS. I will start taking more +10/+11 to understanding if his PS is his "normal" nadir or if it's slightly before. What I'm having trouble understanding is why sometimes the dose drops him by 200+ and other times only about 50-100.

All data is good data.

Ahh yes a great question. Data is what can help make that clearer over time. By my count, today's AM cycle was cycle 5 after seeing the greens on 12/24 in the AM whereafter Binx bounced. Bounces usually take up to 6 cycles to clear. This PM cycle is the 6th. Bounce breaking cycles usually have a late nadir.

That's great insight, thank you!

He really isn't letting me get a +1, so will try again at +1.5. He may need a break from the multiple attempts I made and had him squirm away.
