Good morning Patty. When does he get chemo?

HI Elise. He goes on Thursday morning. I have to have him there by 8 a.m. and they are going to keep him. The first treatment
I sat in the parking lot so I don't know what the difference is.

Keep him how long? That’s weird. I know they need to do blood test to check rbc and wbc. He gets the same chemo. Did they send an email or was that on the paperwork from last time?

They told me last time I was there to plan on dropping him off by 8 next time. I'm thinking they might do multiple patients that way. It was my choice to get started with his first treatment when he first saw the oncologist.

Haha, I just caught him on top of the dry food container. :cat:

That was smart. The sooner he got started the better I was told.
    Nice to see he’s active!

If it's going to the kitchen he is quite active. He thinks I'll give him food.

Drop the kibble and step away from the container, Blue! :stop: (Bad cheetah!! :D )

That's a really cute photo, Patty. :cat: Lot of skill involved in ending up perched on top of the container without knocking it over.

Perhaps send an email about Blue getting spaced out/hissy prior to the visit and then refer back to it when you get to speak to the oncologist about potential personality effects/other side effects of the treatment on Thursday? (And perhaps include a brief, very matter-of-fact, note that you put a number of calls in about the odd behaviour but didn't get any real response back?)

How long are they going to keep him, Patty?

PS: Does the oncologist have access to Blue's spreadsheet data?

Given that they're keeping Blue in, as a belt-n-braces safety measure I'd suggest spelling out to them in mile high letters that he hasn't needed any insulin for nearly a fortnight.

I didn't think about skill. Wish I had seen him get on top of it. I was pretty shocked seeing him up there.

You're right, I should send an email. I'll do that and also my thoughts on being able to contact someone after treatments. I can send the link to SS as well. You always are on top of things!

Please be sure to really drum it into their heads that Blue hasn't needed any insulin, Patty. You need to make sure that they know not to give him any while he's in with them.

Do you think they would give him insulin?

Probably wouldn't, but better not to take any chances. (Just after Christmas, people preoccupied with covid stuff, etc., etc.) Far better to be infinity percent sure that they know that they should not give any.
