Godmorning All

Gentle is doing well! He was all wiggles his morning when we were taking his blood, which tells me he's feeling more and more like himself.
He 's having a half a can of Fancy Feast ( he seems to like it better than the EVO), for breakfast and from the way he took to it, there should be no problems getting him to finish it. I AM however wondering if at some point he dipped way down low last night considering his numbers this morning.

Given that this is a low AMPS and it looks like you shot this number, please get a +1 test. Do you have plenty of strips and HC food around if you happen to need it to steer Gentle's numbers?

For the future, you really need to get PM spot checks. Otherwise you are missing half of the data and you would know if Gentle's numbers were lower in the evening. The evening cycle is often when many of our cats have lower numbers so at minimum, you need to get a before bed test in.
 
I agree with Cheryl. Since this is your lowest amps please get a +1 off of it to make sure she wasn't still going down from last night.

Yes, you need to start getting pm spot checks. There is a big round thing in the sky tomorrow that has been known play havoc on kitties numbers when ever it shows up (and I don't mean the Ball in Time Square)

Hi all,

Yes we have enough test strips and HC food, if needed, With everything else that was going on I completely forgot to take his blood before going to bed. We'll do a more thorough monitoring today and tonight. How does the full moon affect his numbers? I'd love to know, I actually watch the moon's phases rather closely so it'd be interesting to know.

Good idea to make a note in SS when there's moon action, that way if Gentle does anything wacky, it could be a moon effect therefore ur kitty has moon moodiness :lol:

Gentle seems to be doing fine. Had a big breakfast this morning and is now taking a nap. But definitely he's got the 5 ps back to normal.

Some cats the full moon will drop the numbers, some cats have higher numbers, and some are not bothered, ECID (every cat is different)

It is enough of a phenomenon that we had a Moon module on the old board (I wonder If we'll get one on this board also)

Hi all,

No change, the boy is doing just great! It's interesting about the moon thing, I never thought of it that way. But it makes sense, after all it has an affect on just about everything else why not!

Gentle still doing really well, 5 p's definitely, but man is he crabby when he doesn't eat on time now ( for the record his sense of timing is a little ahead of ours when it comes to food and treats.) :lol:

Gentle is really having some nice numbers the last few days. :) I agree that the evening spot checks are important, whatever you can get, because it looks like what green he has had so far has been at night. Want to see it!

Gentle is still hanging in there, doing great from all outside appearances.
Going to try to stay awake and do another spot check in a few hours.
