2nd AM cycle of straight line increases. Minner is back in the yellow.

It doesn’t seem like anyone knows if this is bouncing behavior or a manifestation of IAA. I thought we had finally gotten to a dose that outcompeted the antibodies. They must have called in reinforcements. :(

Altho it is probably unnecessary, I will likely open fresh vial of Lantus and new box of syringes. Not sure what else to do. I feel so powerless.

I have no experience with IAA but I think the yellows are just her bouncing. Sometimes you can get a delayed bounce - a few days/cycles of great numbers and then some (cumulative) bouncing. The good thing is that the number of days/cycles between bounces is increasing. Don't be disheartened. Her numbers are looking really good!

I don't think you need to start a new pen.

Neko's worst bounce numbers were the start of the 3rd cycle past the event that caused the bounce. Like she was trying hard to hold onto the better numbers, but lost it after the 2nd cycle past.

On this dose, she's done other cycles with some yellow in them, but only one cycle at a time. See 12/24, maybe she likes doing it on Eve days? Speaking of time, time for those patience pants.

I am thinking Wendy, Bhooma and Angela have super powers. Earlier today I was depressed and bummed about Minner’s re-entry to yellow. How quickly the blue and green streaks become expected. Now, hours later we’ve dropped all the way to 78. Now I’m in a panic. She just ate her dinner right after the 78 reading, all LC fancy feast pates and chunky. The rate of change needs to ebb quickly yet now insulin kicking in.

I held myself back from giving bisque or MC but if she’s still dropping fast at +3 then I’m bringing those to the table.

oh how the pendulum swings …..

YES she is Marielle. We drop from 213 to 78 in 4.5 hours, right at cusp of when insulin should be kicking in, so I continue to do math on where this is trending, but it just doesn’t follow my logic. +3 is 84. Go figure. So I popped some popcorn. :)

I know! I was reading someone else's posts today and they were talking about not worrying about remission, but just being content with keeping them yellow or below. I appreciated that. And I think it was Wendy that said if they are occasionally high, it's okay. We just don't want them to be consistently high. So, with that in mind, Minner's been GREAT! Jude, on the other hand, is on a pogo stick! Nadir? What's a nadir!?! Ugh. We've had some lows, though, and I'm thankful for that. It's a stressful disease to treat!

This made me laugh out loud. Funny but not funny. Jude’s sheet is really wild. He’s a saucy boy with wild streaks. Happy to see many sprinkles of green and blues. If the “sputtering pancreas” is really the thing, I wonder what is expected … does it over time sputter out and then you get more consistent with full dependency on external insulin … maybe or maybe not? It’s fascinating actually. Happy NY to you and yours. :)
