Chico has been reaching these nice preshots pretty consistently, the exception are a few cycles after he reached lower values, or we fed more food later in the cycle. Do you think we should consider decreasing the dose tomorrow morning or better wait a bit longer? We can wait a bit longer if needed really, no reason to rush him too much.
Thank you for your advise and have a nice healthy Sunday everyone :bighug:

He does meet the criteria of "the cat regularly has its lowest BGs in the normal range of a healthy cat (50 - 80 mg/dL) and stays under 100 mg/dl overall for at least one week".
You could try the reduction. :)

I'm always happy to see a post from you, Marina! Chico's doing really great. How's he feeling these days? Tummy still ok?

With TR, you have a couple of options when it comes to a dose reduction:
    • Numbers drop below 50
    • Your kitty is in primarily normal numbers (and mostly green) for a week
It looks like Chloe has been in green numbers, including pre-shots, for over a week. I'd try for a reduction. The only question in my mind is whether you should reduce by 0.25u or if you should shoot a skinny 0.5u (a dose between 0.25 - 0.5u).

Thank you Katherine :bighug: He is doing better, we went to green preshots since we came back home so even though we would still need to go back to our cottage we decided to just make short trips in between shots in order to allow him to stay in green :rolleyes:

his tummy is still not great but we are not giving up :cat: the experimentation continues :D

This is a more conservative approach, we might go for this with more confidence :) thank you for the idea

Thank you Bhooma for your support :bighug: we will reduce and go with Sienne’s idea to do a 0.37U just to be sure we wouldn’t lose the progress
