OK, so Bert is starting the day off much better today :)

I do have to work today, so when would be the best time to come home and test him.
I can do a BG at +2
I can come home at lunch and do another BG at just under +5.

I am not going to lie....I worry about him going hypo even though I know he wont(pray) nailbite_smile

I gave him 1 unit.

It's first time i post at your condo but I did visit and read.
So,You test at +2 and will see how is going. if he is falling just gave some LC.
With that PS You don't have to worry much until nadir (around +6).

Darn did I jinx you? I hate those days. These kitties in the beginning can bounce until they go through LTS (liver training school) as I was taught not too long ago.

I feel like I should set my alarm at 1:40AM and do a BG because that will be Bert's +6 and should be his lowest at+3 and 164 :shock:

What do you think...he has never been this low yet so I am excited :)

:lol: i'd probably be there at 1:30 AM all blurry eyed with my test strips and meter and one snoozin' kitty. It would be nice to see what the +6 brings. It is exciting when one gets numbers like that. dancing_cat dancing_cat

Absolutely loved the high 5 comment.
 
I'm a bit more conservative, so here are my thoughts.

First, this is a big drop by +3. Make sure you give Bert a snack -- a couple of teaspoons of LC food. I'd probably want to test right before I went to bed -- around +4. If you seen he's still dropping fast, feed a bit more of LC and test either at +5 or +6. Since this is the lowest you've seen Bert, I'd want to know how fast he drops.

I tested at 1:20AM ~O)
He was 162.

That was his +6 number.
