I will take Bert's BG in about 20 minutes, but just wanted you to know we are OK
He did just fine on Thursday night!!
Yesterday numbers:
AMPS-365
PMPS-336

I didn't post a condo yesterday as we were driving to VA to get a new drooler.
We have not had a dog in 14 years, so we are very excited.
The cats are surprisingly tolerant of the pup.

I will edit this after I get his first numbers of the day :-D

Did Bert have shots yesterday? Please update SS when u have a chance.

And is today another groundhog day for u? :lol: (you have 2/02 on ur subject line) ~O) time? :-D

That is one of my all time favorite movies :lol:
It was a long night with a new puppy ~O)

I am so proud of the cats....they are almost nice to her :mrgreen:

I am going to update my SS from yesterday and today.

It is snowing like crazy here.
They say 18-24 inches of snow :o

So Bert decided to hang out in the 3's today :sad:

I wonder if it is because of the dog. Though the dog is scared of the cats and the cats do not seem to be bothered by the dog confused_cat
I am going to try to get a +3 and +5 BG from him.

I wonder if I should increase his insulin tomorrow?

Hi Kathy

I would really suggest you get those checks in tonight, without evening data,
it's hard for the experienced ones to suggest an increase.

Bert is seeing some mid yellows there in the day cycle, and possibly a little blue? Hopefully u can catch those tonight!

Kitties tend to go lower in the evening cycles, so it's really important to get those checks in, a +3 would be great and a before bedtime check - and u need help, post an update ok?

I agree with Ronnie. Even though it looks like there's a lot of pink on Bert's SS, you also have hints of blue and yellow and, there is room for an increase. However, getting more spot checks is very important as a means of guiding dosing decisions. I'm hoping one of the experienced people here will be by and make a suggestions.

Yup, I'd like to see more spot checks, even if you can just get some +10's during the AM cycle and some before bed spot checks. We can't feasibly guess where the dose should be without overnight data from last night (just 1 or 2 before bed checks). Those numbers do look high, but unfortunately we can not tell if they are the result of a bounce from a low, or they are the result of too low a dose. ie: if he dropped to 53 last night, today's numbers would look the same as if he nadir'd at 287.

Should I set an alarm and get some more readings from Bert?

I feel like I am not doing this right....

Ur doing it right Kathy!

Good checks!

If this is ur bedtime, u can leave out some food for Bert to have overnite....

and it's up to u if u want to set the alarm for later, if so - +6 or +7 is ok. It's up to u.

but this +3 and +5 is a great start!!
