got the whole pill this morning, thanks to Jojo's (and WCF's) temptations/pill pocket sandwich. (i was shocked - she gobbled up each piece. by the last one, i could see she noticed a funny taste in there, and hesitated, but she finally ate it. the other day, she wouldn't eat the pill pocket. go figure.)

Great news about getting the pill into her today!!! Good job! Can't wait till it
starts to work for her....should help her feel better, no?
Wondering what the notation SFL meant in the dose this morning....I am dense maybe but I
couldn't figure it out...

Just thinking...she is getting clavamox, right? Have you asked your vet about the liquid drops for her
instead of the pills? Have you ever tried giving her liquid meds in the past? It is usually a fight but at least
it goes down...not sure if that is even possible, but if you cannot get her to swallow the pill, the meds are not
going to work, right?

Also, Jojo mentioned the probiotics when using ABs....have you gotten any FolrtiFlora for her or something
like it to add to her food while taking the meds? It replaces the friendly bacteria that the ABs wipe out in the
intestines...an important side thing to do while giving Clavamox.....

SLF means slightly fat...a smidge over the 2 line, but no white showing. I took some of the fat off as she is not eating as much, and her numbers are good, and i'm not home to monitor these days.

It's not clear if she really needs AB, as vet did not do a culture, so this could clear up on its own. I have a call into the vet and when he calls back, i will explain that she missed some doses, only got half a dose some days, etc and see what he says. I will keep the idea of liquid in mind, hard with her, cuz if she smells anything, she won't eat it. I got fortiflora and so far, she won't eat it. I think she got suspicious and thought it was medicine. She is not eating as much, whether its from being suspicious or just not feeling well, i don't want to do anything that will interfere with her when she does eat. I wish i could get some probiotics into her tho.
 
A couple of thoughts...

The liquid meds can be squirted into Sasha's mouth vs. mixed into food. That way, the smell wouldn't be as much of an issue.

Are you mixing the FortiFlora into her food vs. putting on top? I would try mixing a tiny bit into a snack. Most cats really do like the stuff. Alternatively, if you have some chicken or other food Sasha likes, put some of the Fortiflora on one side of it and see if she'll eat it.

Cassandra recommended another probiotic when Gabby was having liquipoo problems. It's called ReNew Ultimate and you add about 1/3 of a capsule as a start to food. It's such a small amount that maybe Sasha won't notice it or you could add it to a snack. I found it at Whole Foods in the refrigerated supplement section.

finally, she had some food after test. wouldn't eat anything till then. certainly not her pill hidden in her fav treats! not sure if she's suspicious (she sniffs it a million times before walking away) or if she just doesn't feel well. still going to the litter box too much and not peeing enuf. I called the vet, but he never called back. i will call again tomorrow.
