Logan woke me up around 2:45am and ate 5/8 of a can. This morning, he laid down next to me...not quite a snuggle, but closer than he's come in a while...just before my alarm went off. That was nice. My civvie, Morgan, is insanely jealous and has become very clingy to me over the last couple of months. He sleeps in my arms every night now and won't let Logan near me. Surprisingly, he let Logan up there this morning so that's a good sign.

Logan ate 1 1/4 cans of FF this morning...a good start in spite of the ugly pink AMPS!

He is eating...and that is SO good....12 more days till Valentine's Day Logan....
You know what that means...no more shirt...no more tube!!! Keep eating boy..... :YMHUG:

Good news that Logan is getting back to his old self, and Morgan's reaction is TOTALLY understandable.

I have found that I must make a point of giving Booboo, my civvie, pats FIRST, just to say see? you're important too and more important that you get pats FIRST!
Booboo NEVER was a lap cat until Shadoe was dx and started getting more attention. She now sits in my lap almost every nite, just for a few minutes, just to stake her grounds. Once Shadoe sees her in my lap, she is happy and jumps down.

I think many times, without meaning to, we sort of let the attention scale tip towards the kitties who need more, and some kitties get hurt or offended.

I don't know what your routine is now, but I have been trying more each day to do the civvie things first. I greet and pat Booboo when I get home and uncover her dry food, before even acknowledging Shadoe. For me, it works, especially since Shadoe is so laid back and couldn't care less!

I hope Morgan feels a bit better soon with the attention, and hope Logan continues on his road to regular cuddles and no more tube and stupid shirt!

Morgan is super sensitive and has always been a mama's boy. Shortly after Logan went back on insulin last September, Morgan got cystitis. The vet asked if anything was "new" in our house or routine - Logan's testing/shots/etc were the only new things. Poor Morgan. He loves Logan and I think he knows something is wrong. He sits on top of the testing supplies when we're trying to get ready for testing! He then sits near us while we test Logan. I try to scoop him up and love on him as much as possible. The sleeping in my arms thing is really sweet and funny. He used to sleep on DH2B's legs (to torment him, of course :lol: ) but now he's in my arms all night. He's very needy...typical man!!! :mrgreen:
 
Logan ate a good lunch - 1 1/4 cans of FF - another 119 calories! He also had a little Core dry sprinkled on top of the last bit...not sure how many calories for those!

He met me at the door and was ready for his testing/feeding. :)

I am not worrying too much about Shadoe's calories because I keep thinking she needs to eat and will know when she needs more or not.

Does Logan eat till the bowl is licked clean, or leaves some if full?

I love to hear a kitty is eating well.

Oh I am so happy.

I also know the feeling of the civvies in the house, looking for attention. My Chloe is an alpha female and always has been jealous of Max. She prefers to have us all to herself. Poor thing comes running when its Max's test time too so I give her her own bowl of treats.
I also need to take extra time and just cuddle with her too.
It really is amazing what they feel.

Oh and BTW, is that some nice sunny yellow I see for Logan!! Terrific.

Pre-diabetes Logan licked the bowl clean no matter what. Now, he will leave some if he's getting full or if he gets nauseous. I'm letting eat as much as he wants. I have the number he's supposed to eat each day so as long as he reaches that every day, I'm happy. :mrgreen:

Morgan "gets" treats at test time, too...whether we actually give them to him or not. Many times, I will turn around to get something and when I turn back around to grab everything, the treats are all gone and he's licking his chops. Can't help but laugh! So, now, I usually give him some as I'm getting Logan's ready...and I no longer let them out of my eyesight for even a second! :lol:

I keep the Pure Snacks bags in a freezer ziplock baggie; Shadoe runs over to the baggie all the time, waiting patiently for test cuz she wants treats. She does not care if it's not test time, she just has the two connected and is willing to be tested if it gets her some treats.
I don't have to watch Booboo; she is 'above' treats and silly things like that. She eats only one kind of biscuit, drinks only cold water, and plays with only twisted pipe cleaners. thank goodness I don't have to watch both cats.
I can just picture Morgan all happy, after the deed is done haha_smiley

Logan ate 1 can of FF tonight. He was a little feisty for his test, but not too bad. Feisty is good. :mrgreen: He's now chillin' on his blanket in the dining room corner - dark, out of the way, but not too far away from the action if something interesting happens.
