Hello Lantus Land,

A gray morning, new snow, but a happy bean.

Last night, Basil gave me a brief little floor show. I wanted to go to bed, but he was rolling around on top of a stuffed toy as big as he was. (I wonder who rubbed catnip into that stuffed toy?) He would do the usual clutching it to his stomach while lying on his side, then he would leap away from it as if it had burst into flames and pounce on it with a little yip, starting al over again. Soooooooo cute.

And a small, but relevant, aside. Basil's sister Rosie has lost a nice amount of weight since we started the two of them on canned only. She doesn't act hungry all the time, either, the way she did when she ate dry. And Rosie, whose goal in life was apparently to be a door stop (not being cruel. We adore her, but this is the truth) is actually getting perkier and perkier.

Basil ate all his overnight snacks, and was very hungry this morning. Today, I have a new plan for dividing feedings throughout the day. I hope I remember to do it right!

Wishing lovely numbers for everyone today!

Looking good Basil!

Sounds like he was having great fun last night. Cats are funny.

And who knew there could be a positive side effect of FD? Things are working out well for Rosie.

Good Morning Lydia
What a cute story. I would live to see a picture of "door stop" Rosie. Such a cute name.
Nice to see such great numbers for Basil today. Looking forward to seeing more.
Have a great day. We'll check back later.

Re: 2/3 Basil AMPS=107

It's just the absolute BEST to see our kitties being kitties, all goofy and playful. To me, that means they are not feeling bad physically. Playing is the best!

I am so glad to hear that Rosie is benefiting as well! I don't think kitties are too far different from us when it comes to being tubby and just not feeling like running any marathon. For anyone here who has done the dieting thing and lost a fair decent amount of weight, you have to admit that you felt a bit bouncy after the loss! Cutting out all the McDonalds crap foods does wonders for the energy levels and waistlines!

Pfft! who wants to be a doorstop anyways! :RAHCAT Rosie and also Basil.

Have a great day you two, and good luck on the food sectioning, Lydia.

Yay! Basil's in the greens for us.

Thanks, Randi. If I can remember how to post pictures here, I'll do that!

Gayle--you are tight about the weight loss. I am 21 pounds lighter today than I was a year ago and I am a new person! Okay, well maybe not BRAND new, like out-of-the-box shiny, but you take what you can get.

Nice pmps tonight - you're right it is like waiting for the moving to start - what drama will it hold tonight? Hope you do get some sleepus.
Rosie is a doorstop. I like that description. I always call Tuscany velcro. She just sticks to a place all day long. Sounds like they are both similar.

Looks like sleep is on the way for this bean! Basil is at 79. I fed him a little bit--just because he expects it--and will leave him food overnight.

Managed the new divided feedings today, but I needed a cheat-sheet. Very confusing, especially with the conversion between FF and Merrick.
