Time flies when you write the date every day!

I did not increase this morning since I moved him back to the 6% plain rabbit yesterday instead of 8% rabbit pumpkin. We had made the change to fulltime rabbit pumpkin cause of the inconsistency and soon after we started losing our edge. But he also had a hurt leg so who knows.

Still looking for a new food that meets our needs but I dont think I'll make any other big changes till after the dental work.

His dental appointment is 4/29. Based on the pic she had shown me his mouth has to hurt which also doesn't help our progress.

Have an uneventful day and hug them a little longer today. :bighug::cat::bighug:

Good luck with the food change, Laurie! I'm sure the dental will also help him and his numbers - hopefully the time flies until then. I know it can be an anxious wait until an appointment.
Great start to the day (anti-jinx)! Hope it continues and you and Petey have a calm day :bighug:
Thank you, Briana. Shall we schedule appts for our matching tatoos? hahaha :bighug:

Binx has been in the same sea of pink and yellow blue unpredictability... do you think he may have something going on too, or does this random cycling just happen for most cats?

Ready and willing haha :cat: I feel like I say it with every post these days

I really don't know what happened/is going on with our boys - I feel like there must've been something, maybe reducing too quickly? Or maybe dental is playing an impact? Maybe Petey's injury or Binx's potential pancreatitis? Or maybe that's just wishful thinking for an explanation :( I have my appointment with the new vet today and a long list of questions - not holding my breathe for any insights, but I'll share if there are any!! :bighug:

Oh good! I hope you get some actionable info. I'll keep an eye out for your update.

Good meowning Laurie and Petey!
Nice start this morning (anti jinx)
Hopefully he surfs safely through the day.
I think once he has the dental you will see an improvement in his numbers. I know it's a stressful time waiting until then. We're in the same boat. Nestle has his dental scheduled for May 22nd ( we had to re-schedule few times) but every time it was getting close to his date I was getting so nervous and anxious. I think I'm finally ready and I hope it will also help us with his numbers.
Happy Wednesday :bighug::cat::bighug::cat:

Sorry to see Petey not able to shake those pinks :(

What do you think might be going on with his mouth? It is just a routine inspection and clean, or do you suspect more serious issues going on with his teeth? I know diabetic cats are more prone to infections so I am assuming this is tooth infections as well?

I've recently noticed Noogi's breath is not the sweetest. I think it is probably just from fishy wet food, but want to get ahead of any tooth problems that may be cropping up. Is there anything I should look out for?

Nice blue pre-shot this morning! I hope he surfs nicely for you today.
I think once he has that dental surgery you are going to see an improvement not just in his numbers but in everything.
❤️❤️❤️

Whelp, he's just jinx'ed right now, we start out looking good and he goes up from there. At least he stayed steady today.

I'm certainly anxious and pray that it's all up hill from there for a bit. And I'm worried about how many teeth he's gonna lose. Are you nervous about anything specific?

I'm concerned with the impact of anesthesia and I really wish I had a better relationship with his vet. I voiced my concerns and asked my questions and she seemed so put out a couple times. I hate that if I had options we would not be going there! But she does have an area of interest in dentistry and talked me through the process and did her best to empathize with me. And through the whole phone conversation she didn't even ask how his leg is doing, that might be my number one issue with them, zero follow up! Sorry for the rant.:(:bighug:

That was the first sign with Petey, pretty rancid breath -from a distance even. When he went in for his leg, she said he hissed a little and she noticed his breath and decided to take a look. The left side is really inflamed, she said likely periodontal disease but she doesn't know the extent until they get in there, but he will likely lose several teeth. She said cats bounce back quickly from extractions especially if they're causing pain and infection.

Poor Petey, got so much going on! I hope his mouth doesn't hurt too much. Almost 2 weeks would be a while to wait. :(

I hope the food change goes well! I think it's the right choice to not mess with the dose at the same time.
