Too good to be true, Rudy bounced last night. Higher numbers today, but he's coming down.

In order for him to lose weight (he's 16.3lbs, needs to get to 12-13) we've cut down his calories from 250 to 200/day. We had him weighed the other day and despite having reduced calories (before diagnosis he ate around 300 calories a day), he has lost zero weight :( Our question today is about meal/snack cadence...is it better to feed a diabetic cat multiple small meals/snacks throughout the day, OR, just AM/PM meals? We've heard such mixed things. We feed him Tiki Cat LC/lower fat wet food.

Multiple small meals/snacks throughout the day. Take the 200 calories worth of food and divvy it up amongst the smaller meals.

If you haven't already, you might want to invest in a pet/baby scale, and do the weights at home, probably weekly, so see if the food plan needs tweaking.

It took several months for one of mine to go from 9 pounds 10 oz to 9 pounds. You do want slow weight loss. Weigh weekly.
